Following the usual F3, F3000, F1 testing route to F1, Campos' first year with Minardi saw him suffer every conceivable problem come race day. A loss of motivation saw a dismal second year, and Adrian was soon out in the cold.

1986	• Tyrrell F1 test driver. • F3000, =21st overall, 1 point in a Peter Gethin March 86B Cosworth and Lola T86/50 Cosworth. • World Sportscar Championship, 1 race in a John Fitzpatrick Racing Porsche 962C.
1987	• Minardi M187 Motori-Moderni turbo, 16 entries.
1988	• Minardi M188 Cosworth, 5 entries, 3 DNQs.
1990s	• Spanish touring car racing.
1993	• Spanish touring cars, 2nd overall.
1994	• Spanish touring cars, 1st overall in a works Alfa Romeo 155.
1995	• Spanish touring cars, 2 wins in a works Alfa Romeo 155.
1997	• Retired at Le Mans in a Pilot Racing Ferrari 333SP with Ferte and Nearburg. • ISRS, 2 races in the same car with Ferte.
1998	• Set up Adrian Campos Racing for the Opel Fortuna Nissan series. • Driver Marc Gene won the title.
1999	• Driver Fernando Alonso won the Opel Fortuna Nissan title.
2000	• Driver Antonio Garcia won the Opel Fortuna Nissan title.
2001	• Adrian Campos Racing again competing in Opel Fortuna Nissan.
