A French F3 Champion, four years of F3000 saw Grouillard in F1, where he gradually cemented a reputation as an uncompromising, if fast, racer with questionable manners when being lapped! A year with Tyrrell wasn't the boost he needed, and a slowly waning sportscar career followed.
