Narain Karthikeyan To NASCAR To Join Nur Ali?

Postby Cynon » 19 Dec 2009, 09:55

Narain Karthikeyan was seen testing an ARCA (feeder category to NASCAR) car at Daytona, well-hidden by Femaledrivermania (Leilani Munter, Danica Patrick, Milka Duno, Alli Owens, and Angela Cope).

So: Narain Karthikeyan to NASCAR in the future? Nur Ali has been a regular at the ARCA Daytona event, so will we see Nur Ali and Narain Karthikeyan join forces on an ARCA team? Well, probably not, but at the very least they can assist each other in the draft...

Exciting.

Just to say, never heard of Alli Owens, but I know a guy with that name. Going to slag him so much the next time I see him.

This explains why Force India still has no Indian involvement.

Jumping to NASCAR seems to be the latest fad for failed drivers. While this might seem odd at first glance since both sports car racing and the IRL are closer to F1 than NASCAR, one has to only look at Nextel Cup purses for finishing a race in 30th position to realize the motivation.

Actually, purse money in NASCAR isn't even fairly distributed. You can "win" more money than the next three guys in front of you if you have a big enough sponsor. Hello Dale Earnhardt, Jr.!

I think the reason for these rejectful drivers heading to drive big lumps of metal left is that American racing points schemes seem to reward every single driver, no matter where he finishes or how good he is... Scott Speed for all his seeming anonymity in NASCAR, scored 2690 points and earned 3 million dollars for trundling around in 32nd most of the year...

I'd love it if a REAL reject driver, like your HWNSNBM's or your Yuji Ide's and even the Karthikeyans and Nur Alis, actually got into the sprint cup and showed some of these backmarker hicks what real drivers are...

I love it when NASCAR goes to a road course, and the whole field gets mixed up coz the real drivers who are too good to turn left all the time really show how good they are.. same with Danica Patrick in Indy, she's good on ovals, but stick her at the Glen and she's WAAY off the pace of even drivers like EJ Viso...

Well exactly, and she's not even up to Viso's standards within the IndyCar hierarchy, I couldn't imagine her going toe-to-toe with Dixon, Franchitti, Briscoe or Justin Wilson at somewhere like Mid-Ohio..
