As this thread is Forum Facts, here is a fact about this particular forum member. He has a sister who has just finished drama school and is beginning her career as an actor, starting with an episode of Hollyoaks which is showing tonight on Channel 4. I would usually actively discourage people from watching Hollyoaks (with the inevitable accompanying death of brain cells) but tonight I make an exception and say if you're in the UK look out for this face on Channel 4 from 6.30 and elsewhere in the future.

I don't know how far behind Finland is when it comes to episodes of Hollyoaks (or is it even shown anymore), but if it's anything like the situation we have with Emmerdale, I guess it'd be around 2016 we'd get your current episodes.

But, I hope she's not cut from the series completely.

I went to France once, and watched an atrociously dubbed episode of A Touch of Frost into French on one of the main TV channels over there. Is continental TV really that bad at primetime on a weekday evening?! :?

From my childhood, I remember watching an epidode of the Bold & the Beautiful dubbed in Finnish. It was quite crap and obviously just an experiment, as they quickly reverted back to the original audio track & subtitles.

I guess the only foreign TV shows or movies that are dubbed here are kid's movies (for those too young to read subtitles) and documentaries (only the narrative parts, all interviews are still subtitled).

Not really, but since you probably watched that on France 3, it was to be expected. Never trust that channel on quality apart from documentaries. France 2 is for game shows and TV series, and TF1, the main private channel, is usually for drivel such as so-called reality-TV like Big Brother, Survivor and such.

This is why I stick to RTBF and RTL-TVI when watching TV

Couldn't agree more. It's an absolute joke, and a scam as well! And it didn't even come to Banbury, a sizeable town of over 40,000 people, yet managed the other local towns of both Brackley and Buckingham, which both have less than half that!

We didn't need to spend £24 billion for that. I'm sure there is a reasonably priced strip club somewhere that would do that job at a far more reasonable cost Image

I've finally cracked the 2000 posts barrier, becoming the 26th member to do so. I'll soon be passing the absent Watka and Eagleash before long. And with over 300 posts between me and Tristan, I won't be overtaken for a while. :D
The 1990s were better. Fact. And you bloody well know it.

Meanwhile, I'm still in no mans land. 700 behind Phoenix and 1300 ahead of DanielPT. And I doubt I will ever catch Wizzie or dr-baker before I die.

If you all live for another 70 years and continue to post on these forums, then this is how the top 3 would look (and basing these calculations by your current ppd):

Wizzie: 4,413,153 posts
dr-baker: 2,499,307 posts
kostas: 2,009,892 posts

If you factor in eurobrun, then it would look like this:

Wizzie: 4,413,153 posts
dr-baker: 2,499,307 posts
eurobrun: 2,107,747 posts
kostas: 2,009,892 posts

And I would only have 696,388 posts.

Talking of me, also in this time frame I have wroked my way onto Page 2, where I am 22 behind DonTirri, and 4 ahead of Pointrox, but 126 ahead of Coops II
