2012 Season Preview - 12 stories to keep an eye on this year

Postby eytl » 15 Mar 2012, 00:55

Hi everyone,

Well, there may not be a great deal of change in F1 this season, but there is certainly change in "F1 Rejects contemporary F1 discussion land". As promised, instead of writing regular race reviews, this year I'll write various topical articles on current F1 as and when the whim takes me. I've started by writing a short preview of the 2012 season ... but rather than the usual team-by-team preview that you've come to know and love (?), I've come up with a list of 12 stories up and down the grid that I think are worth keeping an eye on this season.

Hope you enjoy the read, and that it gets you into the mood for Melbourne this weekend!

Cheers,
Enoch

As always, the preview was an excellent read. I've noticed that this season seems to be the most predictable of the last few years which is definite change from the uncertainty of 2009-10. I am also eagerly expecting the return of banzai-osity but I think that Perez will also improve as he was quite good on long stints last year. Also, the Virgin the joke was hilarious.

(Sorry, I couldn't avoid it!)

On the other hand, the stories to keep an eye on were quite on the money.
Go home, Bernie Ecclestone!

"Adrian, stay off the kerbs during the run, stay off the kerbs."
"So, no KERS?"
"No kerbs, KERBS, as in the side of the circuit."
