'05 actually. He hasn't won a race since his championship. Hang on a sec. Where have I heard that before?

At least Ingall's led laps since his last win. Unlike the muppet in the 51 car

Whincup benefitting from other's mistakes yet again. I swear he's the ultimate opportunist in the field right now.

It's how he wins his championships - everyone else throws them away. Except 2010, of course.

It's also why he'll never win at Bathurst again until he's allowed to drive with Lowndes once more.

And therein lies the difference between Whincup and Lowndes. They're just as good as each other yet Craig has absolutely no luck.

So, I watched the race, and even though JV was far off in qual, he seemed to have a good racepace, and made up some positions (not only cause of others crashing).
Or is this just the JV-fan in me coming through?

It's the JV-fan inside you. In the V8s, most of the rounds have two compounds that have to be run; softs and hards (Although, they really should be called super duper hard and hard as a rock  ). The softs are usually a second a lap quicker than the hards and usually can last long enough to make it the norm to get the hards out of the way and pit for softs at the earliest possible opportunity to make it to the end with the least number of stops (Or the 'get-home' point as Larko constantly refers it as)

Now, if you're buried in the field and out of position out of qualifying, it's worth starting on softs and running as hard and as long as humanly possible in the first stint to make up track position (which was exactly what Tander did to get himself into podium contention after his shootout stuff-up). Villeneuve and the Pepsi-Max crew did the exactly same thing until he plucked an oil line on a kerb and ended their afternoon.

Courtney, you just let Douglas unlap himself. Please let Nick Percat have your seat, he deserves it so much more.

Villeneuve confirmed for The Paperclip and Eastern Creek ... I mean "Sydney Motorsport Park".

I am so there. Anyone else interested?

F1 Rejects meet-up even?
I was born the day after HWNSNBM. Given time zone differences, we may have been born at the same time.

The 1990s were better. Fact. And you bloody well know it.

Murray Walker: There's a car coming into the pits now, they're so unreliable with all those electronics on board.

Bathplug. They should have paired Perkins up with Caruso, not that muppet Premat.

I can understand the logic, Ritter is more experienced, but still:

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

If they'd put Ritter with Premat, the #33 would spend the entire time bouncing off walls. Now both cars will...

David Wall was a Development Series midfielder last year, I think he also won the GT Championship a couple years ago.

And I always thought Queensland Raceway was one of Ingall's best tracks. Didn't he almost win in a Paul Morris car a couple of years ago.
