I've been lurking around here for over a year now without feeling the need to post, but when Alan Lee is mentioned I just can't resist! I live down the road from him, he's a really nice bloke and always happy to talk about football. Anyway, my footballing claim to fame is that I went to the same school as Bristol City's Jon Stead and the one I mentioned above.

We used to constantly beat Liverpool when we were a Premier League team, Benitez never beat ud in the league. In fact, when they won the Champions League in 2004/05, we did the double over them.

I'm rooting for Arsenal in this years Premier League, especially because I want to see Podolski do well on the international stage. Too bad they could just score a 0-0. :(

In other news, six clubs from the Bundesliga are already out after the 1st round of the DFB Pokal (Werder Bremen, Hamburger SV, 1899 Hoffenheim, 1.FC Nürnberg, Eintracht Frankfurt and SpVgg Greuther Fürth). Reject of the Round should clearly be Hoffenheim, who lost 0-4 (!) against a 4th division club!

I'm rather rooting for everyone except Manchester United (For obvious reasons), Chelsea (For even more obvious reasons) and Manchester City (Even though they have Mario Bathplugging Balotelli, they are still just a bunch of hired goons that happened to win the championship by luck.). But Arsenal has been my favorite Premier League team, so that'll fit. ;)

Well, the football team in my town is absolute rubbish, so I turn to the Premier League... I've been a Man United fan since I was eight, (even before our city had a football team) which is when I really started watching football (since everyone in Canada watches hockey or football/handegg). And regarding who I will be cheering for, I'll cheer anyone who beats Man City ("a bunch of hired goons who happened to win the championship by luck" Thank you Ferrarist) and QPR... because after what happened in the finale, I hope QPR dies in a fire that is known as relegation

Speaking of which, we need relegation in sports like handegg/football and basketball. (Because surely the bobcats would have sodded off by now. ) [/offtopic]

Arsenal are the only one of those 4 teams I can stand to be honest. It's not that I particularly like them, but they are the lesser of four evils.

This. I liked them maybe a decade or so ago, when Wenger looked like a highly skilled manager. Back when you had guys like Overmars, Petit, Pires, Bergkamp, Henry, Seaman, Adams, Parlour, Keown, Dixon, Lehmann, Vieira, Wiltord, etc etc. Bergkamp was my favourite (guess why :D)

Same reason David Seaman's my favourite on that list.

I can never get tired of this Bergkamp goal though.

Now, without clicking on the link, it's going to be either his goal against Leicester or newcastle.

All of them great players. The unbeaten side for me was the best, and I doubt we will ever be that for at least 5 years.

The unbeaten season was an amazing achievement. 2003/04 season wasn't it? I remember that season as we were contenders for a Champions League spot for most of the season, until a late season slump dropped us down to 10th.

Ljungberg - Gilberto Silva - Vieira - Pires
Bergkamp

Man United signs RVP for 24 million, and he only plays 22 minutes? Travesty!

Ah well. Fulham and Swansea are at top of the standings, enjoy it while it lasts. Also, Liverpool is in relegation right now.

I for one don't underrate Fellaini. In Football Manager I signed him as my replacement for Cambiasso at Inter.

Speaking of Inter, we have apparently wrapped up negotiations with AC Milan. They get Pazzini, we get Cassano and 7M. So basically, we mugged Berlusconi. What an idiot taking that deal

TBH this Cassano thing isn't his fault. But he deliberately sold Ibra and Thiago Silva to stash some more cash for bunga bunga parties.

So, yeah, same one. He owns the club. Adriano Galliani is the one overseeing this transfer, or, as the Montpellier chairman calls him, "Kojak"

I swear Fellaini has the best hair style. Dont need to brush it, perfect. Provides a good cushion I would imagine when heading!

Good that Everton won and beat Utd.

BTW, Its going to be a crazy next 10-11 days (depends where you live in) before the transfer window closes. Most teams are going to add players and spending millions while there at it.

My source still very confident that M'Vila will be at Arsenal, could de done by end of the week. It makes sence now that Song is now gone

Two years ago I'd have agreed. But now, Wenger remoulded Song from a DM to a deep lying playmaker, which would make Sahin a direct replacement instead. I genuinely think PSG will show up at Rennes door on the last day and offer 30M, and it'll be accepted. I know I know, linking PSG to any player is a red top trick nowadays, but this one makes sense, defensive midfield is one of the few areas which the new owners haven't reinforced yet.

With the new names Inter are being linked to, out mercato might just end up being something worthwhile. Cassano, Pereira and Gargano. All good players. Certainly, we'd be looking much better than Milan, whose fans are already crying. I've seen it for myself, Milanisti saying they will be fighting Chievo and Palermo in the midfield this season instead of with Juve and Inter.

INTERNAZIOANLE MILANO
Handanovic
Maicon - Pereira - Ranocchia - Zanetti
Guarin - Mudingayi - Gargano
Cassano - Sneijder
Milito

AC MILAN
Abbiati
Abate - Zapata - Acerbi - Antonini
Nocerino - Muntari - Montolivo
Boateng
Pazzini - Pato

Yeah, I think we should be ok for the derby

According to Portsmouth boss Michael Appleton, the club has so little money the players are forced to organise a whip-round for food. Now, that's rejectful...

Gladbach already leads 1-0 over Kiev. Good! That should put the foundation for four German clubs in the Champions League. :)

EDIT: Wow, Gladbach managed to fall behind in just 10-15 minutes. Kiev now leads 2-1.

Well, it's 1-3 - Dynamo are really efficient in front of the goal.

In Miguel Veloso and Andriy Yarmolenko they also have two really great players, which helps...

Every Interista in the world is going insane right now about Cassano. The club signed a true Interista and screwed over AC Milan at the same time. They're all in heaven.

What excites me is how him and Sneijder already seem to be great friends. They'll have a good understanding of each other and use this to combine and destroy everyone else in Serie A

Also, Whis will be happy at this news.
