The Totally Ripper/Bonza V8 Supercar Thread.

Nick Heidfeld will drive with David Reynolds on the Gold Coast.

Despite this being my favourite car in the field (due to its livery, and despite the fact I'm usually a Holden man), I'm bored already.
I was born the day after HWNSNBM. Given time zone differences, we may have been born at the same time.

Whatever you might think of Jacques Villeneuve, this special livery he's got for the Townsville round is awesome:

You feel this way about Reynolds, and I haven't heard you say much about Davison despite him leaving a year earlier and having actually acheived something in a Holden.

If I remember correctly Davison wasn't under contract, Reynolds was.

I distinctly remember him saying in August last year that he had a contract for two years, finishing at the end of 2012. And besides, he said in another interview that the reason he left is that he "got a better offer".

Given the option between driving for the Kellys and any Ford team you name, I'd take the Ford.

Except DJR.

Frankly, who wouldn't. Seriously, the Kellys have got the two biggest egos in the paddock. Why else would they have their own reality TV show?

Ostensibly, it was to find Australia's Next Top Racing Driver. By sheer crazy random happenstance, it also happened to show just how awesome the Kellys were.

Given the way they treated Reynolds, it's pretty obvious they picked Waters as the winner early on so that they could control his career.

And the Canadian qualifies... last. Way slower than everyone else. Come on Jacques, Premat got up to speed faster, and he hadn't even driven the car before!

Frosty/Reynolds front row with Whincup third? BORING!

Villeneuve better cause some chaos when he inevitably gets lapped after 15 minutes and start taking people out

It's a shame Reynolds just got knocked off, I wanted to see your reaction

And Melrose, you know I like to see the shootout before someone spoils it! You're lucky I only looked at this when Frosty crossed the line...

Big off for the Giz.

SC out again but that's because Premat's stranded somewhere in a runoff area

EDIT: Turns out that the idiot was responsible for the Giz's high speed off and followed him into the turn 2 runoff area

I reckon that at a track ike Townsville where a safety car is a given, it's worth the gamble to stay out. And as I say that, Lowndesy comes straight back in.
