Oddball Records to Put on Wikipedia

Postby DOSBoot » 14 May 2012, 01:42

Just going through wikipedia and browsing through the record that they have on drivers and teams, and I was wondering. Are there other good records worth listing on wikipedia at the moment. If so I would like to hear the suggestions.

What kind of records are you talking about? :?
Maybe records involving tracks or something else?

Anything new worth putting on those links I guess. Like for example: Someone was asking earlier what team had the longest time between wins. Which I think was Ligier but I'm not sure. Stuff like that.

Another one could be the longest time, for a driver, without races (the longest time before a comeback). I guess it could be Badoer, from 1999 to 2009?

It was Jan Lammers, 1982 to 1992. Luca Badoer failed to break his record by about 6 months, I believe.

Most women shagged on GP weekend...James Hunt wins that hands-down. Unless Max Mosley once took a motorhome, an entourage of Austrians and a bulk order of Vaseline.

In a more serious note, wonder what most retirements would be?

Monaco '96 must be up there.

If I'm not wrong Monaco '96 had seven drivers classified, whom just four finished the race. Drivers where 21 (Montermini didn't start), so retired were 14 if only drivers not classified are considered as retired (and 17 if Salo, Hakkinen and Irvine who completed more than 90% of the distance are considered retired too).

South African grand prix 1993 had even more retired than Monaco '96: 26 drivers started, 5 finished and other 2 completed more than 90% of the distance. So it means 19 retired (or 21 if the other who didn't finish are considered).

The exception might be a Monza or Imola GP weekend if Silvio Berlusconi decided to show up.

I remember four (Canadian grand prix 2007? I'm not sure), I don't know if it's the record.
