Is Narain Karthikeyan, A Reject Driver?

Postby Nin13 » 20 Dec 2009, 01:19

I was just thinking that considering US GP 2005 results to be valid would be foolish. Because there are many actual rejects that we may miss out on.
I was thinking mainly of our Narain Karthikeyan, who got drive in 2005 due to a sponsor link. But he was beaten fairly easily (or trounced would be right word) by Taigo Montiero, the Portuguese driver. Only reason why Narain is not a Reject is because of 2005 US GP which was shambolic as only 6 drivers started the race and he managed 4th.
Here is his Reject worthy display of skills- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWPhJxCLwLE

All problems can be solved if we consider results of that race, as void and null.
I would even help write his profile!!

I think he could be an honorary reject in the reject in the same way as Michael Andretti, Christian Danner, and Johnny Dumfries are on this site.

The first thing other than the 2005 USGP when you said Karthikeyan was his Chinese GP crash. That was half way down the back straight!

I believe he would be in the "Lucky" section of the site were it not for the prior efforts of Michael Andretti and his friends. He was a good driver... ...just not as good as Tiago Monteiro or as good at maintaining harmonious relationships with the management.
