Well, we don't have a PM feature, so mail is the only real option here. And clean? Well, I guess you mean shortcuts and those things. Those are not allowed, but if you get slightly off the track no one is going to kill you (not like we could control it anyhow)

For the other players: results will be up tomorrow afternoon at latest.

There is one minor problem with this week's scenario - the lack of a test course in GT5. However Monza is in GT5, but the difference in lap times would be too much. I won't mind using a different game (either GT2 or GT4) though.

I hate Gran Turismo 5!
If you could do that (which one is pretty much up to you), it would be nice. If this doesn't work for all users who play with GT5, they get an alternative scenario just like I did for GT2 in the Nürburgring event.

I'm passing on this one, due to a game that is steadily eating itself. That, and I hate the test track for no apparent reason. Maybe it's too boring.

I wonder if there's a white-with-red FGT scheme out there.

You know, so with all hope we can get our SOOPA AGOORI on.
Some say he plans to put an S921 on the Goodwood 2012 run, and that he DOES know what Deletraz is doing.
All we know is...he's called Perry McCarthy!

Or maybe in 2013. I'll get it right one of these years!

Not in GT4, at least. There's only a white-red-green Castrol scheme available.

Eight seconds difference? I tried it with both the race and road car and couldn't do any better than 1'49.

Well, it's not really a secret, so I'll announce (a part) of his secret: he used the good old qualifying tyres which surely is worth a second or two.

So did I...besides, the Test Track is more about sheer raw power rather than good tyres. My time with the default-setup Zonda CS 7.3 (with qualifying tyres) was exactly 10 seconds worse than Salamander's.

Oh well, it does leave me puzzled but I'm not objecting the result in any way.

Yeah, I thought someone would question how I got that far ahead. I noticed that there was nothing saying that the lap had to be with only me on the track, so instead of doing a Free Run (I think that's what it's called, can't remember off-hand) by myself, I went into Race Meeting and spent the entire lap sat behind a Cadillac Cien.

I don't think I'll enter this last round - mainly because it is too long and the AI cars are fairly slow in GT5 (the best that I was up against when I raced it was a Subuaru Impreza WRX STI)
Scorpion Racing - gonna rock you like a hurricane in 2014... hopefully.

One of the worst AI-driven cars in terms of results is the Shelby GT350 '66, ALWAYS messing up the first corner in the first lap by the AI  I remember that... :D

Could this possibly be postponed until April? I have a ton of uni coursework to do, most of which has to be in by the end of March, which leaves no time for this.

Well, as a fellow student I see your plight. Also, you are one of the championship contenders. So I'll put this to the middle of April.

May I enter? I know I'm late, also I'm new to the forum so you could make me ineligible for points in light of that, but I always wanted to see where I stand playing GT4.

No reason to make you ineligible. I should point out that we are normally working with hotlaps, only the season final will be this long.

Thanks!

Just did a test run a while ago to see how my pace is, but it looks like my PS2 console might let go - it's a quite old, "big" model console I got in late 2004. Got a read error just after the end of my test run. I just hope I don't get a "mechanical DNF" now :D

That would make your PS2 the reject of the race!

Yes - I have just submitted my time, well ahead of schedule. I can now just hope I wasn't too rejectful, but my PS2 really seems like it's going to give up - got another read error just after finishing the race, and only had enough time to write down my time. So I decided to submit as it's now likely that I won't have more chances to improve.

If/when there is a next season, I'm planning on using an emulator on my PC to replace my PS2 in playing GT4 - from my testing I found it to run reasonably well, apart from some minor graphics glitches. So I think I should ask now: Klon, may I make use of the emulator to set my times?

PS: Think Virgin and their all-CFD design ;)

I wouldn't - that has a chance of messing up the emulated memory cards, and I've had trouble in the past with a real memory card holding a GT4 game with over 70% complete that took me about a full year... the card got messed up and I had to format it to be able to use it again. Wouldn't want that happening a second time ;)

My submission might be a tad late, having a little trouble with my internet connection lately. My time will be submitted sometime tomorrow, though.

I was a tad late too... had forgotten about this, and when I remembered it I noticed that I didn't have enough money to buy a JGTC car in GT4, so I had to drive the DTM cup a couple of times to get enough funds. I hope my choice of a Honda NSX was good, it was quick as hell but also ate the tyres pretty quickly.

This looks interesting. Would like to join the GT2 Trophy, as GT4 no longer plays on my PS2 and I have a PS1 emulator. 1 day deadline extension for the newbie pleeeease?

Well, let it roll. One more or less day won't make much of a difference for the Season Finale. Oh, while we're at it, do we want a second season?
