The F2RWRS uses basically the same reliability numbers as the F1RDS and we get an average of about 14 finishers a race (That's excluding the FedEx 100 however as that brings down the average to like 12)

The main reason I want to reshuffle the engines is to factor in failure rates. All of the engines had the same failure rate last time, and this made VW an unattractive proposition as the car would have less of a chance on race day. Now with the failure rates, VW (and to a lesser extent, Opel) have much more of a chance on the Sunday to capitalise on their grid positions as the more powerful cars on raceday will be more likely to encounter trouble. This should keep a greater mix in the playing field. It's no secret that the cars with greater power would be much more likely to carve through the field and get good hauls of points. But it gives cars with lesser race power more of a chance, you know?
I also wanted a pair of middle ground engines with differing characteristics that would create a diverse midfield area. In retrospect, I should have done this far earlier, although regrettably the idea was only conceived a few days ago.
I hope that you understand why I want to implement this into the series now.

The problem I have is the fact that the Toyota is the least reliable. In qualifying, it's not likely to blow up, so you'd still have the VWs up front. But in the race, the Toyotas will find themselves at the front after a while, but would be way more likely to retire, the end result being that they lose their major advantage. So unless the difference between the reliability of the engines is non-existent, the Toyota becomes the worst choice.

With the percentages Wizzie mentioned, the Toyota would be 63% reliable. On the proposed 10-race calendar, the engines would be expected to last during 6 races. If the Toyotas steam to the front as predicted, then they'll still be in with a shout of claiming some good points. The failure race ensures that this doesn't happen every race and encourages spreading of drivers. Plus, working out the chance of every Toyota car retiring (if Toyota supply 4 teams) is very small indeed, about 3x10^4 (that's what I worked out anyway...).

Please comment on whether you agree or not with the calendar, I haven't used any tracks other than those already on GP2 as I'm not 100% sure how to install tracks.
The feature races are at regular intervals so that the season can keep on track with the RWRS season, and every race is run on the Saturday to ensure that the F1RDS doesn't get in the way of other series.
