I would also like to announce that from now on, i'm only working with Lotus Bakeries!

After claiming after the race, that he hit some dirt and he never makes mistakes a Jones Racing insider said "The arrogant idiot, the telementary said something else, namely he went into a corner too deep, locked the brakes and span off. Autosport wrote:F1 Rejects Council Launches Feeder Category

The F1 Rejects Council has announced earlier today at their HQ in Madrid, Spain the creation of a feeder series to the F1RWRS which is now reported to be the second biggest single open wheeler series in the world after Formula 1. The fact that multiple time F1 World Champion Daniel Melrose was also present at the conference led to reports that he might have been a major player in the deal but he would neither confirm or deny that.

"The series will be held over 17 races and open to anyone and everyone provided that they have not participated in more than 5 races in either the F1RWRS or in F1." said a F1 Reject Council representative. "It is essentially a spec series with the chassis provided to us by Lola and engines from BMW in collaboration with MRT. There will be 11 teams in the series and any team owner in the F1RWRS will only allowed to be one team each." The official name and calender for next season is to be revealed at the end of the season.

Before I do that though time for another Melrose news bite.

Daniel Melrose wrote:Third is scant consolation for what might have been. In hindsight had I not thrown it into the wall I stood a very real chance of winning the race. On the bright side though the car felt the best it's been in a long time so hopefully we can use this as a baseline to put our season back on track.

I've heard rumours the team is almost broke, but it was reported through one of News Corps' publications, so I'd doubt that those rumours are true.

I won't talk about my cruel luck in the last race, so I'll submit my entry to the feeder category.

Ecurie Nationale Belge - Gillet

3. Laurent Seron
4. tba (preferrably a Belgian driver)

Calendar
Spa
Brno
Lausitzring
Monaco
Norisring
Oulton Park
Zandvoort
Montréal
Detroit
Talladega
Taruma
Buenos Aires
Jacarepagua
Dubai
Aida
Surfer's Paradise
Adelaide

Entry: Holden Young Lions
#0 - TBA
#2 - TBA
If you're interested in a seat, be my guest.

And then my calendar:
Adelaide
Montreal
Laguna Seca
Monte Carlo
Oulton Park
Norisring
Zandvoort
Spa-Francorchamps
Estoril
Monza
Imola
Shanghai
Fuji
Suzuka
Interlagos

See, what I tried to do was keep the series in at least the same country as the F1RWRS (and throw in Montreal, Monza and Imola). Notice I only chose 15 tracks. I don't see why a feeder series should need more races than the main game! Although if you really must, then throw in Brno and the A1-Ring.

Me thinks the feeder series should have its own thread, otherwise this thread, between waffles, court cases, the season itself and Phoenix whining will become chaos

I agree, I hope a moderator can make and transfer the posts from here to the new thread :)

In the mean time, Sunshine are owned by Nissan / Renault so do not need a feeder series and Kamaha have too many other problems to worry about a junior team so....

"I, the great prince Falik, have submitted my entry to the F1RWRSC for the Falik Arrows team, it is technically the Arrowtech junior team but until I buy the team, it is only technically. The team will require numbers 7 and 8 and our drivers will be the current Italian F3 leader and soon to be champion, Rosco Vantini and British F3 sensation, Sani Morgan, who hails from Esher in Surrey, but has a Nigerian grandmother, although he is pasty white with light brown hair and looks middle class but he is Nigeria's greatest hope, what do you mean he has only score a few minor points, it's not important, but this is our entry!"

If anyone wants to play Rosco Vantini (a name I had in a dream about this series before it happened...) or Sani Morgan, the white middle class nigerian hope then feel free :D

RACE

Start is good for Ben Fleet, a little bit bad for Mark Dagnall, while Douglas Mann climbs a couple of positions... Everything goes normal until the cars at the back reach the first corner. Somebody touches somebody and there you go... a beautiful and massive pile-up!! Both MRTs, Al Faisal, Pratchett, Martins and Hiang Hao are out on the spot!! McFaste has to pit to replace his front wing...

Fleet and Chris Dagnall inmediately open a gap to the rest. On lap 2 Mark Dagnall passes Lon for 7th, next lap Moll moves over Mann for 5th, and the Foxdale driver can´t hold the young Dagnall as well and loses 6th. Mark Dagnall continues his impressive pace and passes Moll as well. There´s something wrong with Mann as he parks the Foxdale on lap 8...

Image

On lap 11 Fleet is left alone as Chris Dagnall retires... Three stoppers start at lap 16 with Mark Dagnall, Plaza and Rhys Davies too. Fleet pits two laps later, one lap later De Bock, Lon and Watkinson as well. When De Bock is out he finds out he´s been passed by Mark Dagnall!

Image

On lap 21 Katayama pits as well... he loses to De Bock too, but he´s going for 2 stops. Moll, Melrose, Jones and Zimmer go for two stops too. De Bock charges back and gets back the 2nd place on lap 26.

Image

On lap 31 Rhys Davies ruins his race as he goes off track on turn 4. Respati retires shortly afterwards and Mark Dagnall is back 6th as he pits. Fleet and De Bock pit three laps later but De Bock holds the place against Dagnall this time. It takes 10 laps before he passes Moll but he creates another problem for the championship leader.

Image

Shizuka retires shortly afterwards, completing a disastrous race, and earning the ROTR title for being so off the pace compared to team mate Shinobu Katayama. De Bock retires too and paves the way for Mark Dagnall. 2 stoppes stop for the 2nd time. Katayama´s 2nd seems secured but suffers an electrical problem!! At least is able to drive back to the pits and solve it. Fleet pits on lap 52 and the lead is secured. Mark Dagnall loses 2nd place to Moll as he stops for the 3rd time, but he´s able to retake it 4 laps later, and then it happens again,... Ben Fleet is out of the race while leading scoring another good looking double DNF for Foxdale as the previous winners try to establish a new world record. Meanwhile, Katayama is trying to catch Moll. The gap is 7.4 secs on lap 60.

Image

And it only takes 7 lap for the Sunshine driver to get the 2nd place and score a great podium, while Mark Dagnall almost secures the championship win.

Oh well, you're doomed to have a double DNF anyways. It won't matter.

Interesting to note the 2 second gap between FAT and SOTL, probably the nearest that SOTL have come to qualifying :D

I'm going to be the driver who never got a pay-driver to be replaced with even after several tries to make this happen.
And let me guess, we will also double-DNF, right?

Hey tommy, can you do me a favour and copy your 2010 summary to the new wiki? Because I don't want to have write a new one when yours is several times better than anything I could ever come up with ;)
