I was going to use the Renault 5 rally car for Monaco but I'd already tuned it past the limit and couldn't remember where I got it in the game.

I own 122 cars on GT4, should find something rapid.

Here's the video for 2-4...

and I have a question. "The ugliest car (in your opinion) you own" means the car that's in my garage only taking into account its state at the time the scenario was posted, or the car I can get and do a lap with in time to meet the deadline that I find the ugliest?

My garage has only 40-odd cars now, and I have a 19% completion rate (I started this season from a new save), by the way...

EDIT: I already have two candidates, among those I own right now (haven't bought or gained any new cars yet), but those aren't going to be fast at all...

Spend a couple days improving your game completion and you should find something suitable. I've completed 71% so I'll have no problem :)

Well, ideally it would be to use the ugliest car you actually have in your garage at the moment. But since I have no way of checking this, you can let it roll and buy one.

In my opinion the Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Edition must be the ugliest car on GT2...

A mixture of work and being off sick (genuinely) means I haven't had any more chances to play GT2 since I last promised...I really hope I can FINALLY do another round.

That's what I also thought, but wouldn't be it unfair against the others?

Out of the over 900 cars I have in GT5, I settled upon this odd looking 2001 Toyota WiLL VS, which I resprayed in Pumpkin Yellow (more like puke yellow if you ask me). Was considering calling the X2010 ugly in an excuse to win, but that would be disrejectful. see what I did there?

I'm skipping this round. I do not want to be related to the two Suzuki übercars, that's just unfair against others who doesn't get to drive them.

We need to celebrate by doing a time trial series. I propose we call it the "And WHAT is F1R DOING? Extreme Series by Red Bull."
Some say he plans to put an S921 on the Goodwood 2012 run, and that he DOES know what Deletraz is doing.
All we know is...he's called Perry McCarthy!

Or maybe in 2013. I'll get it right one of these years!

Speaking of that there is also an X2011 in that DLC pack, so if you don't have one of these super-duper-ubercars yet, you can have one then.

I'm going to use a SuperGT Lexus SC430 driven by Tora Takagi for this challenge, which would mean it would be the first race car driven by an F1 Reject to be used in one of these challenges. Hopefully I can get the DLC before the deadline so I can use Perry McCarthy's (black Stig's to be more precise) racing gear.

And LOOK AT THAT! The Masked Lapwing, whose identity is only known to certain individuals, has pulled a mega, MEGA move on McClean. (Sorry Phoenix, couldn't resist  )

Interesting idea. Seems like I will use that certain car which has a GT1 model whom I like to call Black Velvet.

Unfortunate news as for some reason my GT4 file got corrupted and I can't access it. Until I either find a way to make it un-corrupted or when I find out how to get good cars again with the new file, I can't participate in the series. :( Good news, I submitted my times yesterday, I think. More good news, I know which car to buy when I do get those funds :P

EDIT - I now have the funds to continue with the series. I don't have all the tracks yet though :?

Already sent. I don't understand why the video was faster than usually it is... I might have messed up that emulator. Weird.

Results 2-8 and Scenario 2-9

Postby Klon » 23 Dec 2011, 08:57

I need your opinion: would you count this as wallriding? To be honest, I'd say it is. And if it is, I must consider disregarding Shizuka's time. While I admittedly never said that wallriding is forbidden, it is still a d*ck move. I let you be the judge on this one - so, as of now, these results are provisional and not official until further review.

Results - "Battle Of Bonds"
1.: Shizuka - GT2 - Lotus Esprit 350 Sport - 1'25.960
2.: MinardiFan95 - GT5 - Jaguar XKR Coupe '99 - 1'33.861
3.: RealRacingRoots - GT5 - Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 - 1'34.495
4.: JeremyMcClean - GT4 - Aston Martin Vanquish '04 - 1'35.657
5.: The Masked Lapwing - GT4 - Mercury Cougar XR-7 '67 - 1'38.053
6.: Klon - GT4 - Ford Ka '01 - 1'58.912
Bonus Point: Klon for being a Bond girl needing a quantum of solace
* Time multiplied by 1.25 due to different tracks
