Have you ever thought that Formula One was just a soap opera played for real?
Now, you have the script.
This is something I found when I was an undergrad - waaaaaaay back in the mists of time when tommykl and Jeroen Krautmeir were squealing loudly and soiling nappies and a fair few other forum members were still in short trousers. Some of you - those of you who have had the internet since the days of 14.4k dial-up connections (or less), Usenet and BBSs - may have seen it, discovering it completely by accident the way I did that fateful day in... probably 1999. Even then the author had stopped writing it, so there's probably less to read here over its season-and-a-bit (14 episodes) than there is in even the first F1RMGP season.
But, if you'd ever wondered what it would be like if the 1998 season was... re-imagined slightly, then go ahead and read Maranello: The Formula One Soap Opera (unless you're at work - heed my warning), and it should keep you all occupied for about half an hour.
Now sit back and watch this transform into the F1 fanfiction/cosplay/slash thread. Or don't.
