Talk about life cycles! While I too feel like getting older (Fact not helped by the average age of this forum), I still think that we are not really old until mid-forties (sorry if I have hurt any feelings with this).

Agreed. You are half-way to your average life expectancy by that point (middle-aged) so I'll go along with that. I am doing an Occupational Therapy course, which has a high proportion of mature students, so I am of an average age (perhaps just above, but not by much).

Welcome! Nice to have more of a female presence here! I drove past your town of Bologna recently as I travelled from Pulignano-a-mare (not far from Brindisi) to Monza for this year's Italian GP. A beautiful country. AND you're a student too, like many of us on here.
