I suppose this thread should exist. To be honest , I've reached a point where I think the Grands Prix are the least interesting part of F1. Strange and kind of sad, but true.

It will be a more interesting race than Valencia 2009, with the exception of the unexpected surprise appearance of Luca Badoer in that race.

I do like those Canon logos on the Brawn. Something wonderfully retro about them. As Anthony Davidson said yesterday "a proper F1 sponsor."

Aye, though I think they've been quite badly applied in terms of location and shaping. Modern sidepods aren't really a flat surface, so you either have to do weird distortions a la Red Bull, or it doesn't fit particularly well.

On the other hand, I've probably just spent way too much doing liveries for Live for Speed and Forza 2...

I'm watching this hours after everyone else today as I'm recording qualifying then watching it later, which I guess gives me an insight into how Australian TV shows F1 hours after it happens (I'm seeing Tottenham Hotspur play and they're more dear to my heart than F1). Should be a good race, turn 10 over the kerb is treacherous and with how dusty the track is crashes and a safety car are more than possible.

Now wouldn't it be hilarious if Nando won? I think my avatar is highly suitable now that Flavio is a bona fide reject of the paddock.

I think the sport has been so overshadowed by controversy that we just need a really good race and a feelgood story to cover up the current (myriad) inadequacies of the sport. The last time we really needed one (after Spa last year) we got one in the form of the Italian Grand Prix.

Let us hope.

Yeah!! but will have to see what Brawn does. If damage is too much then Rubens will have to start from pitlane because they have to replace suspension plus some floor damage too.
Brawn will be hoping that RBR drivers are beaten by Rosberg and Hamilton, otherwise it looks good for RBR 1-2. :shock:

Anyonw with me Rosberg's 1st win......

Guy was almost 0.4s faster in Q2 so much so that Nakajima was left almost 0.8s slower.

Every time Lewis has been on pole this year, Rubens has won. So I expect same tomorrow, watch out for Rubens charging from 10th on grid!!

I wasn't expecting that qualifying result. Button seems to be frustratingly poor again, but he'll be glad that Barrichello is having his problems as well. The Red Bulls may be up there for now, but I expect them to run light and I don't see them being up there enough at every remaining race.

It looks like a 'proper' race car now; not like a reject team that has found itself running at the front.

Brawn is hoovering up sponsors at the same rate that Renault is shedding them.

Looks pretty clear that Rubens' crash has really helped Hamilton; given the weights, you would have expected Vettel and probably Rosberg, at least, to jump him if quali had ended in the 'normal' way.

The best part of the weekend so far was during the pre-qualifiying dull-o-thon when they asked Christian Horner about strategy to which he responded that it's difficult because of the high chance of a saftey car and you don't know when it's likely to come out. My immediate reaction was why didn't he just go ask Renault?

hi everyone,

i'm from singapore (the track is about 10 mins away from my office actually)
i have to say that the atmosphere in the city is electric.
there is one spot outside the mcdonalds at raffles city (turn9)
where the track is literally just 20 metres away from you.
you cant see the cars from behind the 4m high walls
but the sound and vibration from the cars is unbelievable

just wanna say a few things about the weather
from the past week, and the past few days
looks like there will be no chance of rain

it was raining heavy at dawn earlier this week, but it didnt rain this morning
so looks like it will be another hot and humid evening here in singapore

Yes, but he always knew that was going to happen, so I don't see how his fuel load makes all that much sense.

I quite fancy Rosberg for the win now, actually. He looked mighty in Q2, which is often the ultimate indicator of pace around a given track.

Maybe I shouldn't be saying this after last year, but that lap in Q2 of Alonso's where they showed the onboard shots was absolutely storming. Sad thing is it'd only get up to 5th.

Massively disappointed for Rosberg - I really thought he was going to do something today. Brawn did well all things considered, and the championship race is now down to three officially - I can't see Vettel clawing back enough points to bring himself into contention, though.

Impressive drive from Glock. He did well today. But on the whole, none of the drama for which I had been hoping.
