Rantbox

Postby CarlosFerreira » 30 Sep 2009, 06:10

Feeling bitter? Had a bad day? Fancy a rant?

How about climbing F1Rejects' own version of the Hyde Park's soapbox? A cathartic moment, where you get to shout out all the rubbish you would otherwise be inclined to keep to yourself, or at least soften.

Ground rules:

1. One liners are mandatory. If you want to write a long text, contact you local editor for publishing opportunities. Or a lawyer, in case it's your will.
2. Remember the "family website" principle. Sexist, racist and other -ist posts are discouraged, plus the Admins will kick your butt. Just sayin'.
3. Remember Godwin's Law at all times...
3.a. ... and do keep in mind our very own Hughes' Law as well.
4. The audience doesn't get to answer back, only cheer or boo. If you fancy a debate, may I suggest wearing a towel and go re-enacting ancient Greece somewhere else?
5. Make us laugh. Please.

That said, I'll start with my rant of the day:

- Heidfeld should be thankful to Sutil for helping him interrupt the most shameful record of all time.

Come on guys, give it the world!

The record of most consecutive finishes isn't the most shameful record of all time by a long shot; however, the record that is, the most podium finishes without a win, is also held by Heidfeld...

P.S. I'm not sure if this counts as a one liner, because of the semicolon... If it's not, forgive me...

Fisichella's struggles in the Ferrari show a) how awesome Raikkonen is and b) how slow Badoer was.

Bernd Maylander could well win Suzuka if it rains. Its just a shame for him it would be in the Safety Car.

Why can't we rid F1 of these ridiculously tedious street circuits. They are all about the "spectacle" and as a result have rubbish racing.

While talented, Fernando Alonso is over-rated; he hasn't won a race in a straight fight since traction control was banned an I hope that Felipe Massa shows him up if he goes to Ferrari just to stick it to the Spanish media and incessant fans.

When, O when, will Williams win another race? It would be nice to see Barrichello accomplish it next year, echoes of Patrese doing the same thing with the same team lost after everyone thought he was past it. Not that a double winner this year is past it, exactly...

It's in fact a joint record with Stefan Johansson. Heidfeld does have the record for most 2nd places without a win (8 which is double of Johanssons..)

Here's hoping that Räikkönen gets an equal treatment at McLaren, then. And that Alonso doesn't b**ch about at Ferrari and break his contract yet again because Massa isn't playing second fiddle enough for him.
