So, when are they launching Romain Grosjean’s Lotus, then?

Grosjean will probably get Kovalainen's Lotus (from last year) knowing them...

Ferrari Confirmed first day testing for launch of F2012
I see the usual optimistic hype from Ferrari.
mario wrote:Speaking of which, does anybody know what chassis designation their 2012 car will be? I assume that they might be dropping the "R" designation because of its association with Renault (I wonder whether VW would kick up a fuss if they used R32 as a chassis number, given that VW uses that same mark on certain versions of the Golf), but would they revert to the "T" designation that the original Team Lotus used? If they did, it might be a little awkward given that Fernandes also used the "T" designation - continuing on from T128 might give some implicit acknowledgement of Fernandes's right to the name, but re-using the same numbers could cause some confusion as well...

Perhaps they'll undertake the old Team Lotus' nomenclature? I doubt so (apart from the fact it would be quite a display of hubris). Maybe we could something like LGP-1 or LGP-01?

We seemed to get used to it. If we look back to pre high and narrow back wings and those snow plower like front wings. The cars seem ridiculously low and wide. I still like them though compared to these ones.

The cars from 07 and 08 were the worst IMO. All those silly fins and random bits of wing stuck on the sides made it look awful. This years cars (The Caterham at least) look a lot cleaner and simpler around the bodywork. And that can only be a good thing.
As for the front wing, I've seen worse. Remember the benetton's from 2001 or the Williams wing from early 2004?
