After Vatanen has become FIA president, the case of Alan Donnelly collecting sponsors for Manor in his role as assistant to Mosley (and right hand to Todt) might go before the WMSC on the grounds of FOTA making accusations that this was against the neutrality of FIA officials. A verdict is spoken by the WMSC, but in the end, Ferrari bails him out for a lump sum, effectively breaking the lines with FOTA, whereupon they are excluded from the teams association unless Luca were to step down. Next, Luca Badoer officially announces his retirement.
“Mexico City is a better place to hold the (Mexican GP) than Cancun,” said Ecclestone. “In more or less any city around the world you could ask people ‘where is Mexico City?’ and they would say ‘Mexico’.”

Alonso, after winning the 2010 World Championship, is found "celevrating" in a hotel room with a large amount of cocaine, and committing certain deeds with some Dutch sailors and a blow-up doll with Murray Walker's face stuck to it.

Referred to as doll-gate.

Lewis Hamilton in 'lip-synching' scandal: before the race, he is replaced by a heavily made-up Jacques Villeneuve, who switches places with Hamilton just after the race.

How do we know Lewis isn't secretly Jewish?

Lewis Hamilton goes half a season without whining about something (whether in public or private), thus forcing me to drop my name for him; Lewis Waaaaahmilton.

Or...

Lewis Hamilton loses most of his teeth after falling off a golf cart. Hamilton refuses to make public appearances until he gets his new false teeth. Ironically enough, though, said teeth won't be there for the first Grand Prix of 2010. Hamilton accuses Ferrari and Alonso of conspiring to make Hamilton appear in public without his new teeth, making him look like a buffoon. However, being Lewis Hamilton, he can't shy away from attention...

My suggestion: Sakegate. Red Bull Racing presents their championship contenders with Red Bull, which has 40 % Sake in it, therefore ruining Brawn's race because everyone is drunk as hell, allowing Red Bull to gain 18 points and turned the tide decive in both championships.

It's already here, FIA-President Voting Gate:

Outraged at the insulting tone of Mosley's letter to a member of the Jordan royal family, it is said that most of the Arabic motoring officialdom now stridently back Vatanen.

The Ugandan motor racing official Jack Wavamunno, meanwhile, claims he was "pressurised" through the means of "threats" by Todt supporters to drop his support for Vatanen.

Farm-Gate: The entire FIA, bar the president, is discovered to be sheep in disguise.

Weather-Gate: As his last act in power, Mosley decrees that no grands prix will be held in the rain, lest it create interesting racing.

FMIRTF1BINFEBOHISKRRHI2010CAMSIDLUSOF(ARB)ARFTNS-Gate: Felipe Massa returns to Formula 1 but is not fast enough because of his injuries, so Kimi Raikkonen replaces him in 2010, causing another massive shift in driver line-ups, so only Ferrari (and Red Bull) are ready for the next season-Gate

During the broadcast of the 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix on the BBC, Jonathan Legard is accidentally killed by Martin Brundle and David Coulthard, which results in the BBC pulling out of it's broadcasting. Bernie, who witnessed the event, is shell-shocked, and dies. Ari Vatanen, the new FIA President, is deposed in a coup brought on by the chaos caused after Bernie's passing, and the FIA falls to pieces due to a failed attempt to run it democratically by commitee. The madness is put up a notch when every race organiser pulls out bar the Valencia GP, and all the manufacturers leave as well as Williams and Force India. Due to the farce, all drivers move to the non-FIA run IndyCar series, which is branched in to 2 to ease the congestion brought on by the onslaught of F1 drivers. In June, the 4 remaining teams (YouTube F1, Playboy, AlonsoSpeed {note:AlonsoSpeed is not affiliated with Fernando Alonso} and Force Vanuatu) arrive in Valencia with their less than enthusiastic drivers. They can only afford one car each, so HWNSNBM, Yuji Ide, Jean-Denis Deletraz and Shinj Nakano race in the last Formula One race of all time.

They call this scandal F1-gate.

On a more realistic note:

Ari Vatanen narrowly loses the election for the FIA Presidency to Jean Todt. While counting the votes, it is discovered that many smaller national clubs voted in favour of Todt despite pledging support to Vatanen. It soon comes to light that Mosley pressured them into voting for Todt by claiming the former Ferrari principal already had enough of the vote to ensure success and that once elected he would cut funding and support to national clubs that voted for Todt. This coercion convinced enough of the smaller clubs to vote for Todt that the election swung in his favour.

Massa returns to F1 and gets two poles and two two wins in the first two races. Trouncing Alonso on both occasions.

During qualifying for the third race, Alonso's personal trainer is captured throwing springs onto the track in front of Massa's car.

During the ensuing row, Alsonso reveals to De Montezumolo that he has e-mails showing that Nigel Stepney was instructed by Ferrari to release information to McLaren, in order to incriminate McLaren. He demands that Massa be fired and replaced by Piquet jnr.

When Luca refuses, Alonso sends the e-mails to Max. Todt is then fired from the FIA, and Max invokes emergency measures that make him FIA president once more.

Alonso is granted immunity at the subsequent WMSC meeting in Paris. Ferrari get off with a suspended sentence but De Montezumolo is banned from F1 for life.

Max annouces that due to the sorry state of F1 he intends to remain in post for tnext ten years.
Get well, Robert.
