The Generic Times wrote:Simspon to MRT?

While Dave Simpson may be working on setting up his own F1RWRS team for 2015, sources in Australia are starting to link the veteran Australian to the team run by close friend and former teammate Daniel Melrose for next year. Allegedly, high-ranking people in the team are running out of patience with their lead driver Nathanael Spencer, especially after a very poor showing in the rain at Spa last weekend. While many people have been linked to the seat, the smart money at betting agencies seem to be on either Simpson or Former World Champion Rhys Davies taking the MRT seat. Neither Melrose or Simpson available for comment.

MA-Racing: Finally getting noticed!

It seems Mitie Aviation's continued improvement has seen drivers sniffing around the garages in recent days, with Rosco Vantini and Saeed Al Fasial seen talking to Mitie members recently. But Mr.Alexander was quick to quash the rumours about either driver signing with the team for next year. "Although we are delighted to see more and more drivers interested in what we do, we have already written up our shortlist for next season, and sadly neither driver has a place with us. Vantini has shown a massive amount of potential, whilst Al Faisal has proven several times he's a quality driver. But we are not interested at this time", said Mitie's team boss.
Kay Lon remains the preferred choice for Mitie Aviation, and plans have now been completed for the contract to be offered. "We have finalised our offer for Kay Lon and will be contacting him in the very near future to start discussions".

Interesting times ahead of Mitie Aviation, especially if they secure the signing of one of the biggest names in Motorsport.

Right, firstly, KLon: Can I send you the proposed contract via private e-mail? I have thought of a unique contract and want to keep it secret from everyone else.

To everyone else: I'm not trying to be devious or anything, but I dont want any other members copying my idea. If KLon doesn't want me to send it via e-mail I will post it here for everyone to see. If KLon is ok with me sending it to him, fater the deal has been finalised/refused, I'll post the contract in here for others to see.

Hope this is alright with everyone...

Absolutely! Adds a nice bit of complexity into things if people want to do so!

I plan on holding onto both my drivers, though if I can't have one of them, I have Christopherson on my books.

In other words - watch it Melrose! ;)

Fine by me. Nothing I can do to stop that.

It's just whenever a driver signs for another team, it's usually:

Team X: We want driver Y.
Driver Y: Ok I sign.

Seeks a bit boring so I want to spice things up a bit. Expect email in the next 24 hours..

Ultimately, I'm not too fussed. If I remember rightly, Melrose is only signed to a one year contract anyway, and he has made noises in the past about a slight bit of disgruntlement with the team! Besides I thought you had your drivers finalised for next year anyway?

I do, to an extent. I've decided that Nicolas is staying and Spencer is going, what I haven't decided yet is who's taking Spencer's vacated seat.

And correct me if I'm wrong but haven't I said multiple times before that Melroses' priority was to stay at Jones Racing anyway?

RACE

After the rain weekends at Brands Hatch and Spa, and the short, manic streets of Norisring, we´ve had the first "normal" racing weekend at Monza since Paul Ricard, and the fact that the racing was that exciting (albeit not for the race win) in many ways make us think a bit that rain wasn´t needed at all to enjoy a good race, just a great crowd, a great track and a little bit of luck regarding on-track battling.

Let´s start as usual with the heroes: Phillippe Nicolas was amazing all weekend once again, demonstrating that he´s without a doubt the fastest driver this year, and that only bad luck and a couple of mistakes have prevented him from leading the championship in favour of Mark Dagnall. The French has now managed, not one, but two hat-tricks (Pole, Win and Fastest lap) this season, being the very first driver to achieve that in this series. Nicolas Steele, on his side, did score another very important podium for Kamaha, confirming what we already knew: He´s in a much better shape than Barii Mori. If next year is able to drive a bit of a faster car (either at Kamaha or elsewhere), he can become champion. Behind him we found a happy Shinobu Katayama. The Japanese female drove a solid race against both Jones cars and scored yet another podium. She´s completing a very good season so far despite the lack of reliability in her car.
The restant two remarkable drivers came from her teammate, Kay Lon, who suffered a collission at the start, forcing him to recover from dead last. His two-stop strategy was correct and he would have needed a few seconds to score his first point of the season. The other came from the man who scored that point; the Swiss Jean Luc Schiller who drove amazingly solid with his Prospec, passing better considered drivers like Bosevic on his way to score the first point for Prospec this season. A good injection of morale for a team which seems at an all-time low.

On the wrong foot we found this weekend the Gillet team, with a surprisingly slow Aurelien Moll, who, despite the machinery at his disposal, finished distant from the points, and an over-revved Thomas de Bock, who threw away a podium position with an avoidable crash. The other honoured guests in this list are Mark Dagnall and Nathanael Spencer. Dagnall failed twice; once while driving 2nd and trying to keep Nicolas´s pace, and the other while recovering from the first mistake. He´d have probably saved a podium place anyway. Nathanael commited a stupid mistake when he was safe in 2nd and threw 6 very important points. His championship chances have diminished dramatically right now despite the fact he only needs two races to regain the championship lead. For those mistakes, the ROTR award is shared between Mark Dagnall and Nathanael Spencer. The pressure of having to score either way after the exhibition by Nicolas made the mistakes appear.
The other very disappointing performance came from the Acuri drivers, despite racing their home race, they both retired a few laps to the end after having occupied the last two places from the start.

All in all, it was an overtaking and incident packed race and we´re eager to come back here next year. In next´s week Mediterranean Grand Prix Phillippe Nicolas will have his very last chance at having a great power advantage over Dagnall, before the more technical tracks we´ll visit towards the end of the season. If he takes that chance, we may have an incredibly battled championship ending.

Kay Lon wrote:Well, that one is obvious - the first lap incident. I could have easily matched Shin's pace out there, but no - that spiteful idiot Mori just had to run into me. Just how can one man be so bathplugging spiteful? I do not believe it! After that, I tried my best out there but it just was not good enough. I guess we will have to try harder at the next weekend.

Australian Reporter wrote:What about the rumours that the team considers handing you a small fine for shouting at your race engineer after the end of the race?

Kay Lon wrote:Yeah, I got a bit aggrevated which should not be a surprise after the way this weekend turned out for me. If I get handed a fine, I will accept it. My behaviour after the end of the race, while understandable, was most certainly unprofessional.

Australian Reporter wrote:Do you think your career is in turmoil after getting beaten by your team mate this soundly for the umpteenth time this year?

Kay Lon wrote:This question is so stupid I won't even bother to answer it, now buzz off, you idiot!

MRT's Nathanael Spencer is set to miss the Mediterranean Grand Prix after yet another high profile race-ending incident at the Italian Grand Prix. The former world champion has had the fastest car on the grid to his disposal all year but has thrown away a lot of his chances to score big results. While MRT boss Daniel Melrose is yet to confirm a replacement for the Mediterranean race in Cyprus, the smart money's on Dave Simpson possibly getting a second call up to MRT. Should Simpson decline the offer however, it looks likely that the seat would be offered to any available paydriver.

A promising young driver, Martin McFry, who is lined up for a race in the F3RWRS Surfer's Superprix later in the season, may like to have a go in F1RWRS this season. He has possible sponsorship money from the DeLorean Motor Company and Emmett L. Brown Enterprises.

It's just as well you know Doc so well, because that's some advanced time-travelling you'll need to get away with that. The F3RWRS season finale hasn't 'happened' yet in F1RWRS world, and anyone who enters an F1RWRS race automatically becomes ineligible for F3RWRS. Therefore, you have a problem :D

Hmmm. Now when does that Superprix lie with relation to F1RWRS's calendar?

I would say sometime around the Macau or Chinese GPs.
