Red Bull: Qualifying results looked worrying for them compared to McLaren and Mercedes, but as expected they had race pace which was helped by a safety car just at the right time: Verdict - B+
Vettel: The former world champion proved he could race from the pack, with that stunning pass on Rosberg, though he did make a rare mistake trying to pass the Schu. 2nd place a good result considering his grid spot. Verdict - A
Webber: On the start I thought, oh dear, Webber's walked under a ladder again. That safety car gained him about 3 places, he'd have been stuck behind Alonso and Rosberg. His best ever start to a season in terms of position none the less. Verdict - A-
McLaren: Right from the outset McLaren looked to be the team to beat this weekend, and they backed that up with a great race. Proof that those platypus bills are completely unnecessary. Verdict - A+
Button: It's easy to see that Button loves Albert Park. He took pole here in '06, and back to back wins in '09 and '10. His third win there today shows that he's now the clear McLaren number 1 and the favourite for the title. Verdict - A+
Hamilton: Lewis seems to have an extra spring in his step after checking out of the Heartbreak Hotel, though he's still the number 2 at McLaren after another great performance from Button. Verdict - A
Ferrari: Oh dear, Ferrari are nearly back to 2009-esque lows. The car looks terrible and they didn't make it to Q3 for the first time since Malaysia 2010. Verdict: C-
Alonso: The "surrender monkey" didn't live up to his F1 Rejects nickname today, dragging a fifth place out of that crapbox Ferrari. Could have been much better on Saturday though, that was an amateur style mistake. Verdict - B
Massa: The pressure's on Massa to deliver, otherwise he's gone. From what we saw today, it seems as if Ferrari will have a new second driver in the near future. If he was a pizza delivery boy, the pizza would arrive cold, and the pizza you ordered from the other shop would already be here. Verdict - D
Mercedes: False promises? They haz dem. From practice and qualifying results it seemed as if Brawn had pulled off another stroke of genius. Fast forward to the race, and the wheels were falling off as quick as you could say "Fernando Alonso at Hungary in 2009". Verdict - C+
Schumacher: Looked to be on course for a great result, and then the car failed. Verdict - B
Rosberg: Pace in practice and qualifying suggested he could have been a dark horse for a podium, but the car wasn't as good as we'd expected in race trim. Not sure what happened at the end - out of fuel perhaps. Verdict - B-
Lotus: I don't think anyone knew what to expect from them, even after Grosjean's astonishing performance in Q3. To rank them is quite difficult, given Raikonnen's low starting position and Grosjean's early retirement. Verdict - B
Räikkonen: In practice it seemed he had a case of Trulli-itis, complaining about the power steering. I don't think anyone expected the most talked about driver in the off season to be knocked out in Q1, but he redeemed himself with a solid performance in the race. Verdict - B-
Grosjean: Grosjean was easily the surprise in qualifying, but his race ended as quickly as it started. After fluffing the start, he was rather rudely taken out by Maldonado. Verdict - B+
Force India: The best of the midfielders at the end of the last season turned out to be the worst of the midfielders today, though Hulkenberg's early retirement had contributed a lot to that. Verdict - C
Di Resta: A lot like the early part of last season to be honest - fairly anonymous, but still manages to score a point. Verdict - B-
Hülkenberg: Retired too early to really show what he was capable of, hence, no ranking.

Yes, because it had Juan Pablo Montoya.
