Earlier today, Melrose Racing Team have announced that their team will reenter the Rejects of LFS series in 2015. After deciding to not enter the series when it was restarted earlier this year, MRT boss Daniel Melrose has made the decision to return to the category. While details are sketchy at this moment, the driver lineup is rumoured to be a combination of experience and youth with former Grand Prix winner Tom Douglas taking one seat with MRT F2RWRS driver Marie Simon to take the other seat amid rumours that her seat in the F2RWRS is under threat.

Yes, because it had Juan Pablo Montoya.

But at least they scored a 1-2 this year, not many backmarkers can say that!

Autosport wrote:Carlisle sacked, van Rijkens in!
Following a string of dismal performances, Sammy Jones has sacked Josh Carlisle from his RoLFS team, Castrol Jones Racing. Carlisle has failed to score a single point all year, and has finished inside the top 10 on only two occasions. Jones had previously given his drivers an ultimatum to improve or face replacement, and that seems to be exactly what has happened to Carlisle. In his place comes Danny van Rijkens, a South African who has so far this year been the team's test and reserve driver. Little is known about van Rijkens' past, only that Jones witnessed the young driver's talents in between visiting potential sponsors in South Africa for his motorsport projects in February of this year. On the change, Jones commented,
"I'm pissed off at both Carlisle and Jung to be quite honest. The only reason Tristan is still in the car is because he's managed to score our only point this year, but that in itself is woefully below par. For me, Carlisle simply hasn't done enough to justify being in the team any longer, and with the news that Falik Arrows Juniors may be interested in his services for their F3RWRS team for the final two races of that season, I think it's only fair we let someone else have a go. Danny has built up a good relationship with me, and I have the belief that he's a good prospect for the future. I'm not expecting much from him in these remaining races, only to race solidly and bring the car home. It's now down to Jung to really pull his bloody finger out and start scoring points, because it's starting to turn into a bit of an embarrassment."

Sammy Jones wrote:I'm delighted for Danny today, he's driven a stellar race and reaped the rewards with a great third place finish in only his second race for the team. I'm also happy that Tristan had his best result with 5th place, although we really need to score points more regularly. Going into the final weekend, we have the opportunity to overhaul Hydook in the standings - they are another well established team that's found themselves at the wrong end of the standings, but there's absolutely no way I can tolerate Castrol Jones Racing finishing last in the teams' championship. We accept that we've gone the wrong way with car development this year, and we'll be looking to rectify that next year with what will hopefully prove to be a stronger line-up. I'm disappointed that I've had to let Josh go, but he's getting his chance in the F3RWRS at the moment, so I won't rule out employing him at the team for 2015 just yet. Tristan has done pretty well considering he's been out of action for a while now, but I'm still undecided about whether to retain him for next year. We'll see how his results in the final two races stack up, particularly against van Rijkens who has come in greener than most.
Danny van Rijkens wrote:Can't believe it! Second race and podium! Unbelievable! I hope this is the start of big things for me, I'm so glad that Mr. Jones' faith in me has paid off! I can't thank him enough!
AndreaModa wrote:Italian Roberto Dinella is interested in the drive, though already has a contract elsewhere for 2015. He brings Lampre sponsorship with him.
Autosport wrote:GTI sign Dinella for final RoLFS race weekend
The replacement for Simon Garfunkel at GTI in the RoLFS series was today confirmed as Italian Roberto Dinella. Dinella enters the series as a one-off replacement coming off the back of a strong season in Italian F3 where he has scored a haul of points and a couple of podium finishes. Born in Turin, Italy to wealthy parents, Roberto began his motorsport career in the frantic scene of mini-bikes, before switching to four wheels aged 15 after his older brother suffered a nasty crash which resulted in a broken pelvis during a Spanish 125cc championship round. With his parents demanding he either switch to cars or quit motorsport altogether, Dinella moved to Formula Abarth in 2011, competing there for three years with enough good results to allow a step up to Italian F3 for 2014. Able to secure sponsorship from metals manufacturer Lampre, Dinella's season was secure, and driving the pink Dallara, soon attracted the attention of team bosses around Europe, resulting in this chance at GTI.
"I'm delighted" exclaimed Dinella, "we've worked very hard to get to where we are today, and getting this chance at GTI is just what I needed after a pleasant season in Formula 3. My 2015 season plans are already pretty much secure, so I see this as a warm up to what shall hopefully be a very exciting year. I hope we can bring GTI some good performances in the two races I'm with them, and that I can reward their decision to hire me."

The Generic Times wrote:Scuderia Alitalia Giovanile Squadra announces massive squad shake-up
Scuderia Alitalia have announced a complete reshuffle of their young driver programme, with familar faces departing and new talent emerging in its place. The Generic Times has compiled a complete rundown of the swathes of changes;
OUT
Enrico Molinaro
Enrico was already rumoured to be the Giovanile Squadra's secondary source of income, but it seems since his departure no sponsors have left the team, perhaps making these suggestions unfounded. Regardless, he underperformed compared to F3RWRS team-mates Alessandro Lucarelli and Gianluigi Pazzini, as well as Lorenzo Crescenzi, another Giovanile Squadra driver, on loan at Christopherson Racing.
Despite his perceived poor performances, he has actually graduated to F2RWRS with Hydook Racing for next season, but without SAGS backing. Molinaro has instead moved on to Finnish management company Nurminen Enterprises.
Ragnar Larsen
Larsen is another F3RWRS driver who had a disappointing season. He was busier than Molinaro however, combining F3RWRS duties with Group Lotus alongside Rejects of LFS with Parma Corse. He was comprehensively beaten by his team-mates in both series, and as a result has been released by the team following the conclusion of the 2014 season.
Stefan Kuntz
Kuntz is getting rather too old to be considered a 'junior' driver as it is, but Scuderia Alitalia have decided to part ways with the German outright. He started 2014 as second driver for GTI in Rejects of LFS, but after being dropped in favour of Fukuda and with no options looking available to him for next year, it seems his motorsport dream may be finished.
Nobushige Fukuda
Again, he is considered too old to be part of the squad now, however he will be retained as a reserve and test driver across multiple series for Scuderia Alitalia.
Carsten Jancker
The same as both above, however his prospects still look good, securing a full time drive with Hydook Junior Team in F3RWRS for next season after being the far better driver at Parma Corse in Rejects of LFS this year.
IN
Marcel Agyemang-Badu
Agyemang-Badu is Ghana's top racing prodigy, and has been snapped up by Scuderia Alitalia. Where he will race in 2015 is still unknown, but he looks like a key part of the organisation's future.
Andraž Velikonja
The Slovenian youngster's appointment may have something to do with FIAT Group looking to ramp up sales in the Eastern Bloc, but from a sporting perspective he has been signed as an endurance and reserve driver, possibly with a full-time drive in the works in future.

The Generic Times wrote:Bizzarri makes to Rejects of LFS switch
After failing to find a drive in F2RWRS for 2015, Marco Bizzarri has moved to the Rejects of LFS series, where he will lead Parma Corse's campaign next year. He will replace Carsten Jancker, who has been promoted to F3RWRS after signing a deal with the Hydook Junior Team.
"Of course, it was not nice to hear the team was dropping me from F2RWRS, but ok, they said to me, we're sorry, but we can offer you this instead. Maybe it is for the best," he said. "Jancker has done well this season so hopefully the car has some potential and we can rebuild and go for the title next year."
On the other side of the Parma Corse garage, Ragnar Larsen's seat is under threat by a long queue of Scuderia Alitalia Giovanile Squadra drivers eager to make the step up into the RWRS sanctioned series, with Marcel Agyemang-Badu, Martin McGovern and Andraž Velikonja all looking to take the second seat alongside Bizzarri.
