Arrows F1 team:

We are delighted with Massa's 6th place today. He had the pace for a podium but another points finish helps our fight for 7th (or 6th).

remember we want to break into BAR for their EMS.

Success, you now have their EMS, you can now run level 4 driver aids. Work to be resumed on Semi Automatic gears?

Might as well, as we can upgrade that package. Does suspension come under the same category/design team?

No, driver aids and internal/external parts are under different categories/design(and engineers and mechanics) teams, so work is resumed on the semi automatic gears with no slow down on suspension production.

You are not having any luck in breaking it to teams today, neither attempt was successful. You seem to have inherited Wizzie's luck.

Well, it worked, you stole Their front wing, the same one they just stole off BAR. Now the front wing is the biggest performance part on the car, it may not be what Minardi need the most right now but the more specific the instructions the better.

All 3 of you are unsuccessful.

Now on to the team updates.

Williams:Traction Control and Advanced Steering level 3, AMD wish to sponsor you. 12.726 Million
Ferrari:13.472 Million
McLaren:Compaq want to sponsor you, 7.625 Million
Renault: 10.484 Million
BAR:Orange want to renew their deal, 11.597 Million
Sauber:10.785 Million
Jaguar:Fed Ex and Martini want to renew their deals 17.207 Million
Toyota:8.283 Million
Jordan: Dell want to sponsor you, 10.605 MIllion
Minardi:14.538 Million
Arrows:10.638 Million
Ansimov:8.956 Million

Ferrari were the only team to make a profit this round, it was only 14k. Toyota made the biggest loss, over 1.5 Million.

It was Renault who had that decent EMS, wasn't it? If so, please attempt to get it for me either by force or by trade.

Regardless of whether that deal was successful or not, could you please tell me just how far I can go with driver aids?

Before I forget, Mr Rennis would like to take this opportunity to call the rest of you guys muppets again. Especially the ones that have a snowflake's chance in hell of getting the new car done for next year

EDIT: Yes, Don Rennis is just Melrose's personality on roids, with often hilarious results

EDIT 2: Yes, that doesn't include Kostas because it's fun using him as a proxy to annoy the living crap out of BAR. Plus I get something out of trading all my parts to him

Arrows to offer renewed contracts to all staff for next year. Also Arrows are happy to keep their Cosworth lumps for next year. Which sponsors are yet to be signed, as Dell are now after Jordan I'm getting desperate for more cash!

Jordan to sign with their current heads staff for next year and to take Dell sponsorship and allocate the rest on chasing the other we were chasing (can't remember who). It will also try and keep HWNSNBM for next year (will he stay a pay-driver?). What is the current allocation to work on the new car?

You now have Renaults EMS. You can run level 6 Driver aids.

Done, well there is Kingfisher but they are 4* and unlikely to sponsor you before any other team, 02 are a 1* sponsor that are currenlty sponsoring 3 slots to Ansimov, so I suppose you could secure their other 2. Not to mention you still could take a little more sponsorship from the 1 star sponsors sponsoring you. Your only other bet is to plump for some already signed sponsors in the hope they will want to sponsor you when the deal finishes.

HWNSNBM resigned, still as a pay driver, sponsor ship time shifted focus to Kingfisher and you have 90% of you time focused on building the new car.

Right, overdrive setting two. Set development on the new car to 100% and hire 5 more very good designers. I want the car completely finished before the last two or three races, otherwise heads will roll...

Ok, use the remaining spots available for B&H and Mobil1. Whatever I have to do to steal the available spots for O2 do that. Does development still continue on the new car in the off-season? Because I reckon it might be just about finished come next year's first race. If not, hire 5 Excellent staff to help it along. How long will it take for the suspension and semi-gearbox upgrade to take with the level of staff I have?

Think that's it for now :)

Does development still continue on the new car in the off-season? Because I reckon it might be just about finished come next year's first race. If not, hire 5 Excellent staff to help it along. How long will it take for the suspension and semi-gearbox upgrade to take with the level of staff I have?

Think that's it for now :)

Your Suspension won't be completed for many many races yey. Semi Automatic gearbox is probably going to take about 4 or 5 races per stage (you already have level 1.)

Yes, because it had Juan Pablo Montoya.

Minardi will drop their focus on next season's car to 60% and focus 40% on the current season.

Here is the very first image preview of my next planned GPM2 sign up challenge!

As managers of F1 teams, you basically have to go with the flow and adapt to changes/problems in the best way you can.

As a chairman however, your role would be very different, instead you are the masters of your own destiny. Whether it be as head of the FIA, chairman of a team or even an engine supply.

The basic overlay of this challenge is really to run the game as I had originally had planned, with the use of customisable exes. meaning that at any point in the game drastic changes can be made to a variety of features. Team renaming, driver renaming and performance editing, calender creaters, engine editing and renaming, points system changing. Not to mention the things I can access from the cheat menu. Whilst I created "May the best manager win!" with the intention to keep things fair and balanced, all that goes out the window in the piranha club.
But by far the best prospect of this sign up is that ultimately the direction this goes is controlled by the user, whether politically you decide to do things democratically or you somehow create a dictator scenario is up to you.

As you can tell from the image, the mod I had in mind is the 97 mod, but any of Nuppiz's fantastic mods would be considered (not 2003 though, please not another 2003!!!!)

Before anyone worries, this series will still continue, I have no plans to cancel MTBMW and the next round, the Nurburgring (our first of two visits to Germany) will be run tomorrow.

Of course the big question is, would anyone be interested in this? if enough interest is shown here I will create a new thread for it. .

Yeah, go on then. Unless Wizzie and Kostas use my team as a punching bag again
The 1990s were better. Fact. And you bloody well know it.

Murray Walker: There's a car coming into the pits now, they're so unreliable with all those electronics on board.
James Hunt: Actually, Murray, one of his wheels has just fallen off...

Qualifying for the Nurburgring shows that Ferrari have regained their huge advantage, with Alesi and HWNSNBM their closest challengers, HWNSNBM seems revitalised after being confirmed at Jordan for another year. Jaguar lining up in 6th and 7th is the best team result for them and whats this, Arrows in the top half of the grid for the first time, beating the normally very fast in qualifying BAR's. Poor qualifying efforts for Trulli and Zonta, both were on the podium last time out! Despite promising pace in the last 2 rounds, Asiatech double DNQ for the first time. (Minardi 1 DNQ, Asiatech 3 DNQs Ansimov 3 DNQs)

The race is 67 laps long and there is a chance of rain, if anyone is feeling brave enough for a wet set up let me know.
