Done. This means you will survive the season.

FMecha wrote:I wonder what I should do to the car. :)

Well the positives are Toyota will have their new car ready for the next season easily. The negatives are Toyota the engine company don't want to provide you with engines and you may not have the budget to make another season. To make this worse there are no sponsors besides the weak Panasonic and your 2 drivers are both really expensive.

In terms of upgrading the car, you main area of focus should be the Internals. I think Toyota is probably the hardest team to manage in this mod.

Sauber needs to work on the new car so we would like to put all our development time on this project. Can we also try to steal something from Toyota? If anyone wants parts, we are willing to sell.

Briscoe's not a pay-driver. And I want to see if he's any good as he may be a potential replacement for Fisichella in 2005 should he want to move elsewhere at the end of next year.

Right. :? Doesn't sounds weird at all

Ok. Talks can begin between BMW and Arrows for next year. Arrows would like to know the following:

1. Will the BMW engines be the same spec as the engines Williams are running, or are we going to run last year's engines ( a la Sauber and Ferrari)?

2. How much will each engine cost?

3. If you don't take Briscoe after the first year, do we have to keep him for a second year?

1. They'll be the same spec as the ones Williams are running
2. I have no idea whether I can charge for engines or not so I'll let Shaza clarify that
3. If we don't take up our option on him after the first you, you can do whatever the hell you want with him

Ok. I'll let Shaza sort everything else out. As long as the price is right for us, and we can re-name the engines to Megatron (because Arrows-Megatron sounds epic) we will sign Briscoe and terminate Massa's contract.

Can do, though you will have to pay Massa's fee, it may be better to shift him down to test driver.

The reason I gave "ownership" to engines is because the balance in this mod isn't perfect, BMW engines are like the 2nd cheapest yet also the 2nd most powerful.

GPM2's engine contract system has always been slightly odd for me. I mean, in the 2001 mod, Sauber can't sign Mercedes for the first 3 years for completely arbitrary reasons

Welcome to France, Prepare for the strangest grid of the year. The front 2 and back 2 are not so strange. The rest though, umm.

Image

It seems Magny Cours is a very Aero circuit looking at the grid! The race is 72 laps.

It's almost as if Massa is flipping Arrows off for having his seat in question.

Though Rosberg lines up on pole for China 2012 he starts 26th here!

Heidfeld has nothing to lose from that far back, so I'll stick him on a three-stopper and see if he can pull off a surprise. Two stopper for Webber.
The 1990s were better. Fact. And you bloody well know it.

Murray Walker: There's a car coming into the pits now, they're so unreliable with all those electronics on board.

Felipe Massa two-stop: Laps 23 and 46
Adrian Sutil three-stop: Laps 16, 34 and 57

MagnyCours uses to provide some strange grids in GPM2. It's one of the tracks that usually destroys any mod's balance

Hi there. Due to connection issues I won't be able to post race results until the morning. I can tell you though we have a first podium this season for one driver, controversy again but perhaps most significant a championship challenge ending crash for one driver who will miss the next 5 races. Stay tuned.

A little bit delayed but here it is
Image

Both Ferraris and Both Jaguars suffer engine failures, allowing Fernando Alonso to sneak another win. Alonso is now looking like a genuine champioship threat! Whilst in 3rd place and looking to overtake a recently pitted Barrichello, Massa was rudely taken out by Jarno Trulli who was attempting to unlap himself. A similar problem caused HWNSNBM retirement who collided with Nico Rosberg taking them both out of the race. So a race in which Ferrari, Massa, Badoer and HWNSNBM all had a shot at winning was eventually won by Alonso. Alonso was behind Webber at the first stage of the race and they had an identical pit strategy, but Webber seemed to struggle to get heat in to the tires and in traffic Alonso dived through in what proved to be the decisive move of the race.
Kimi Raikkonen got his first podium of the year and Saubers second this season, a fine late race charge saw him overcome Jean Alesi. Adrian Sutil was a surprise 5th, with his late late final stop being enough to JUST get him out ahead of Hakkinen, despite struggling on the fresh rubber Sutil miraculously held Hakkinen off, so much was Hakkinen slowed down that Dario Franchitti managed to sneak past. Now Franchitti and Sutil need just one 6th place to unrejectify themselves. Button stole the final point right from under Trulli's nose as they fought for the entire race distance.
Sadly whilst chasing down Trulli and Button for the final point FIsichella had a big crash and looks to injured for practically the rest of the season, missing the next 5 races. Fisichella has 1 win to his name and sits 22 points behind Michael Schumacher, though he was just an outside title chance, the injury is sure a blow to the team. Also out for the next race will be Fernando Alonso who seems to have a case of food poisoning, not ideal but not a championship challenge ending ilness by any means. Another no score for Michael Schumacher who is now only 19 points ahead of Alonso, can he hold on?

ArrowsF1 Cosworth:
Delighted for Adrian Sutil. He's been improving as the season goes on so his points finish is fantastic. We are deeply annoyed at Jarno Trulli for ruining Massa race as we couldve had a brilliant double-point finish. Still, we are where we want to be in the Championship. Ahead of Toyota, Asiatech and Ansimov.

Team Update

Williams 12.105 Million Advanced Steering and Traction Control are level 4, all work stopped.
Ferrari 13.288 Million Turbo level 1 (!)
McLaren:7.107 Million
Renault:9.312 Million (New Gearbox will be completed next race!)
BAR:11.139 Million
Sauber:10.248 Million
Jaguar:17.038 Million advanced sttering level 3, work stopped.
Toyota:5.802 Million, Kingfisher want to sponsor you (And not a moment too soon!)
Jordan: 10.403 Million, you now have semi automatic gears.
Minardi: 13.340 Million
Arrows: 9.844 Million
Ansimov: 7.631 Million

Ferrari, Jaguar and Jordan all made a small profit. Toyota made the biggest loss, losing 1.3 Million, can Kingfisher save them?

In the last race, Both Ferrari's had lapped the field. Not sure who would of won from the 4 stop strategy vs the 2. Barrichello was ahead when Ralf Retired though.

Yes, because it had Juan Pablo Montoya.

It is that time again, and Ferrari look as quick as ever, can they make it to the finish this time?

5 cars fail to make the 107% time, but Pizzonia and Sutil have been allowed to race.

The race is 61 laps.

AdrianSutil, take note of Briscoe's performances in the next 5 races

I'll put both my guys on two-stoppers for this race with Button stopping first both times.

Three stoppers for the BARs here.
The 1990s were better. Fact. And you bloody well know it.

Murray Walker: There's a car coming into the pits now, they're so unreliable with all those electronics on board.
James Hunt: Actually, Murray, one of his wheels has just fallen off...
