Nissan are interested in supplying Tyrrell, Sauber and Minardi.

If Barrichello's a pay driver, we'll take him to Minardi.

No, Barrichello is not a pay driver, he costs a (reasonable it has to be said) 500k a season.

Gah, was going on GPM2's default 1996 data. How much money is Trulli snaffling up for his seat?

250k, whilst Katayama is paying 1.5 Million for a season. In the original 1996 data Barrichello was probably the most desirable driver on the grid!

Actually, going back to my trusty GPM2 handbook, that distinction would fall on Jean Alesi followed closely by Heinz-Harald Frentzen and David Coulthard.

I'll stick with the default drivers, including Marques so he can remind Trulli that someone is willing to pay a lot of money for his seat, unless an engine manufacturer makes me an offer I can't refuse. Is anyone Mugen yet?

You could take over Tyrrell or Stewart (or even McLaren!) to showcase your engine and Italian Drivers.

Yes of course, wonder what drivers you are going to chose? Also in the chairman game it is not as important to manage finances as MTBMW, the AI is going to handle most of the finanical parts and and a computer controlled team only calculates it's finances at the beginning/end of each season.

Well, our first decision is to poach Jean Alesi from Benetton :P
Hopefully his stats are similar to those in the original game, I remember that whenever he signed for Williams he would pwn the whole field and become world champion - even with MS as his team-mate!

Jordan will keep Giancarlo Fisichella and sign Pedro Diniz as second driver. We would also like to sign Shinji Nakano as test driver.

Fisichella and Nakano is fine, Diniz has already been confirmed at Arrows.

Yes, because it had Juan Pablo Montoya.

I would be interested in taking on Stewart - and want to replace it with something more interesting. Would that be okay?

Beautiful - one quick question though: is Nigel Mansell available as a driver in the 1997 GPM2? If yes, he's the number one driver.

I can make him available, but I won't promise he will be quick ;)

Nah, if you'd have to make him avilable first, you might as well make Alain Prost available - he'd be more useful.

With Mansell out of the way that means that there are no F1 world champions available, right?
