Better late then never.

Barrichello takes another win as problems befall Ralf Schumacher again. Every race Barrichello has finished, he has won. Meanwhile, Trulli and Alonso spinning almost looks as if they have thrown away their championship chances. A good P2 result for Button who was the only car in touch with the Ferrari.

unfortunately the race played out in similar fashion.

Barrichello made an atrocious start and dropped right back to 5th, Briscoe made an epic start and was up to 2nd. so there was a good battle there right up to the first wave of pitstops and from there the field spread out so there was little action. Briscoe's one stop did not look to work out as he was 10th after his stop but good pace saw him as high as 6th when he span off. Alesi was really off the pace but mostly gets away with it and Heidfelds first stop was too early. That is about as far as the highlights went for this one. (It isn't a bad track for overtaking it's just the field spread out so much.) Also Panis was running ahead of Heidfeld, so promising pace from Toyota at their f1 base grandprix.

Next race is Hungary.

If you want me to impose "Team orders" then I will allow this if:

1)The cars are running together on track.
2)There are less then 10 laps to go.
3)At Least One of the drivers is in championship contention.

For example Ralf Schumacher is now out of the championship, but Barrichello sits 2nd 29 points behind Michael Schumacher with 40 still to play for. It would be silly to have Ralf beat Rubens.

Besides the Ferraris out front, the grid is very close indeed, Massa manages another 2nd row start and we have a Wiliams and a McLaren on the wrong half of the grid. As if this is not enough there is also a chance of rain, so let me know If you wish to run a wet set up.

The race is 77 laps.

Sorry Tristan, you just missed the limit, that being said, Kimi was on a 2 stop anyway and a 3 stop wet is just about the worst possible strategy, so no loss.

Unbelievable, simply unbelievable. With an outdated chassis and outdated engine, Massa manages to drag the Arrows to victory, even had Barrichello's engine not gone boom, Massa would of still won. Massa was quick in the dry, but when it started to rain on lap 14 he simply left everybody else in the dust. Heidfeld put in great performance, when the track was slippery but not enough to warrent wet tires, Heidfeld really shined, to find himself in 3rd before the first wave of pitstops, he just drove away from the field. But the biggest smile on the podium was of that of Michael Schumacher, who's 6 points for finishing 3rd puts him 35 points ahead of Barrichello with only 3 races left. This makes Michael Schumacher the 2003 World Champion.

Fernando Alonso drove a quiet race to 4th, Alesi would of challenged him but the Frenchmen inexplicably lost a lap. A fantastic scrap for 5th saw Alex Wurz arrive with a great result on his come back from injury, if it were not for Massa he would be driver of the day. He overtook Panis on track for that result, with the Toyota driver being one of the stars of the first part of the race. Panis had overtaken, Button, Trulli, Raikkonen, HWNSNBM and Webber all before his first pitstop. The Toyota did fade near the end though and he had to face massive pressure against Alesi, but he managed to hold on. The Final point was scored by Monteiro, from 24th on the grid, he drove an excellent race, not the fastest in the corners the Ferrari engine really blasted him down the straight, which was frustrating for Jarno Trulli who was the fastest man on the track (he even unlapped himself from a surprised Massa at one stage) until he met Monteiro and he simply could not pass.

Ralf Schumachers run ended rejectfully on lap 1, but ROTR goes to de la Rosa who was a staggering 10 laps behind the leader and 4 laps behind the woeful Asiatech of Heikki Kovalainan.

The reason it is a bad idea, is that tire wear is so minimal on the wet tires, you could do a whole race distance on them. On a 3 stop, they were coming in with over 80% condition of their tires, the only time pace really drops is when tire wear goes bellow 50%. Yet conversly, it takes at least 3 laps for the tires to "heat up" during that time cars pace drops to a crawl.
