Haven't we already gone through the problem with having such a difference between engines at such low power outputs in the F3RWRS thread a few months ago?

I can perhaps decrease the difference in power...or just bump them up. I'll go test it...

I highly recommend you decrease it to increments of 5 bhp between engines otherwise the Toyota powered cars will win. Every. Bloody. Time.

Bloody hell, I go to work and this thread grows massively, and I miss out on the engine I wanted. :(

Oh well, DMR will use Renault engines instead.

And there is still a seat avaliable to anyone who wants it.

EDIT: Oh bathplug, I have to use the Volkswagen engines. :(

Fixed now.

Ok, the engines are all sorted now, as all of the remaining teams will use VW powerplants. As Wizzie raised some concern over power difference, the engine is less of a hinderance in the race than before so there's less reason for concern.

Calendar-wise, I'll take Lappy up on his suggestion to make a couple of races support races...not sure what races these will be yet. I'll make it a 10-race calendar, if there's a grid tool for GP2 kicking around somewhere I can perhaps add sprint races. Due to the low power nature of the cars, races will be around 25% of the original distance.

Two pre-season tests will take place at Jerez and Estoril once drivers are confirmed and liveries are complete.

And Ferrarist, as you finalised your entry after eurobrun you're now first on the waiting list should any places become available. Your drivers were made available for other teams; if this isn't ok then I'll pull them out. Otherwise, Hwok Kwol-Cho will continue on at V-Sport.

Unless anyone has any objections, I'll make Jari Lappalainen, the 18-year-old Finn who is currently Fusion's tester in RoLFS, available for anyone to take on.

Actually, with the engines being rebalanced, the leading VWs may be able to hold track position during the race as the differences in engines have been reduced greatly.

Since Ferrarist does not have a team in any F1R series yet, as far as I know - aside from the ones he is running - I would not mind withdrawing to that first waiting spot so he can have the spot. Although if that is possible I would like to keep my numbers 1 and 2: he could get #28 and #29. Would that be cool with everyone involved?

Been a bit late, well, guess VW is good enough. Still need a second driver: drivers: this is a real professional team with lot of money and experience, here you can learn to become a good driver in a low-pressure environment. Slightly combined with typical dutch overconfidence, that is :D

It's a little known fact that Tom Douglas loved to holiday in New Zealand (Being a Pom, he didn't know better of course  ). On one of these holidays to Queenstown, he had a... shall we say liaison, with a rather attractive New Zealand woman and the next thing you know, 16 year old New Zealander James Douglas is looking for a ride in the F1RDS. If it helps, he's got sponsorship from Speights and Mitre 10.
