Post your clips here of reject related youtube clips. I'll kick off with this classic from Hungary in 1995:

There are two clips from The US GP (of 2005) on here http://www.youtube.com/user/thewhiterabbit71
both of them showing footage of Patrick Friesacher, the only driver in the race to not escape eligibility to this site there and then. Also, it includes the famed Austrian TV commentary of Heinz Prüller a/k/a "Prüller der Brüller" (which translates ambiguously as both Prüller the shouter and Prüller the joke) joined by former multiple world champion Niki Lauda (a day before getting another kidney transplant). Both of them were doing their very best to make the "race" exciting to their TV audience, by teasing each other with silly jokes, even getting a little personal at times, not taking each other too seriously, and showcasing their deep knowledge of F1 history. I wish I had a tape copy of the whole race with this commentary, but all I have are a few funny sound clip excerpts that were circulating on the internet the day after the race, all of them being worthy of inclusion in a GMIF1P feature on the podcast. They are in German (with Austrian accent) though. Jamie and Enoch, if you're interested in them anyway, I could email them.

Bertrand Gachot in the Pacific showcases how to not go through a tyre chicane:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyXEp2M8exQ

The corner of Circuit de Catalunya, which this chicane was placed in, was duly removed from the track's layout for safety reasons before the next season, thereby rendering the backstraight in the infield much longer. That was an edit to the track map that I think was quite beneficial to the track, because it created another overtaking spot at the end of the backstraight at least for minor series. But the most recent change to Catalunya, the new chicane in the final corner is very reminiscent of this tyre chicane in a way.

Ferrari might be having to hope for something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9HU9-QHIYM to eventually win a race this year ... Might it be a good idea for them to start concentrating on their 2010 car now to "pull off a Brawn" next year, when the regulations change again heavily?

Here is a BAR team special:

These clips pretty much sum up their 1999 campaign: Both Jacques Villeneuve and Ricardo Zonta got into trouble making it through Eau Rouge on full throttle. Luckily for them, no one was hurt.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un1FtWgTOx8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5ho-KEv-YM

Later, in the Sauber, Villeneuve showed he can do better:

But the team BAR could also laugh about themselves:

The ONLY memories I have of Burti racing is him being in horrible accidents, flipping, sliding, exploding and implanting himself deep into tyre barriers.

Love John Watson's reaction - "surprise surprise!" - GMIF1P material that ...

On the topic of Gachot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMgNleZOjpM

OK, three questions spring to mind:

1. Why do I get the impression that the interviewer has NO idea?
2. Why do the pictures include some that seem to come from the F1 Rejects website? (not that we own the rights to them)
3. Why not ask THE big question when it comes to Bertrand Gachot - what was it like giving up your seat for Lavaggi and Deletraz?

Awesome thread BTW ... keep the links coming!

What a dumb-arsed thing to do. I know everyone was still iffy about safety in the wake of Black Imola, but tyre chicanes? It was an accident waiting to happen.

A few of the videos on my favourites people may like. ;)

- Bjorn Wirdheim (F3000) Monaco 2003: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6R43mBWirio (Might as well post this one again because it never stops being funny to me...)

- Hot Heated Montoya during Belgium '02 (?) Quali: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-zEnO_KwDg (Colour language used!)

- Kimi Raikkonen during ITV's Pre-Brazil '06 build-up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK3BrGOIwxI

Moving away from funny videos, here is a very good piece of documentary footage on the Belgium Grand Prix of 1998 from the point of view of the Jordan team. Includes radio transmissions from Damon Hill and Ralf Schumacher: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZxkCvH4BkI
