Francis Bacon, Art and F1

this is a bit of a long shot but....

I read an article in the Guardian today about the famous Irish/British artist Francis bacon.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/ ... -revisited

Here is the quote of interest
Richardson argues that Bacon's art went rapidly downhill when, after Dyer's death, he entered a relationship with John Edwards, which was "seemingly free of sadomasochistic overtones. This may explain why Bacon's work lost its sting and failed to thrill. Paintings inspired by Edwards, as well as a Formula 1 driver and a famous cricketer the artist fancied (fetishism survives in the batting pads), reveal that in old age Bacon managed to banish his demons and move on to beefcake. His headless hunks of erectile tissue buffed to perfection have an angst-free, soft-porn glow".

Does anyone know which formula one driver inspired Bacon and what the piece is called?

I suppose this rather odd thread might also be used for other artists or artistic pieces related to motosport (of which there are probably thousands!)

George Harrison's 1979 clunker 'Faster' is about F1 drivers, is dedicated to Ronnie Peterson, and the album sleeve features George chatting with Jackie Stewart.

At the end of the French movie Taxi, the main character is seen wearing Olivier Panis's helmet.

All the characters in this movie are named after F1 Rejects:

doing more research, in turns out the driver painted by Bacon was Aryton Senna. I still can't find the actual painting though

Although I found a rather nice work of Jackie and Helen Stewart by Jack Vettriano called ‘Tension, Timing, Triumph - Monaco 1971'

I'm disturbed by the trailer. I assume the hand coming out of the grave symbolises Badoer's F1 career coming back from the dead.

If that's the case, then it would only be the hand. Then it would quietly go back into the ground.
