This will be the last update I put in this thread, I will start the FORCDA (Formula One Rejects Community Drivers Association) thread once I have completed the canadian GP...
Post-Monaco:
Had a word with Colin Kolles, first I told him to go home, then I told him that 15th place Is not a position that the Hispania Car can qualify in, nor is 12th place where its going to finish, unless something stupid happens in front of me, he agrees, and lowers the bar back to Qualifying 20th and Finishing 18th, I can breathe again.
What Actually Happened:
The computer throught I was in a better car than I actually was the last time I saved it, having loaded the game again to race Istanbul it went back to normal.
And so to Istanbul:
Practice was interesting.
Practice was VERY interesting...
Started off with drizzle, and standing water on track, managed to get the fastest time in this condition before the racing line appeard and everyone started going faster than me, but not all of them , 10th in Practice altogether, Not a position that I expected, nor would I expect in Qualifying, 17th, which was good enough for me, it was on target, It was where I personally expected my limit to be with the HRT.
The Race:
Up to 16th at the start, have focused on getting around the corners more than trying to be quicker on the straights, the corners are pretty easy to digest in this car, especially the multi-pex of turn 8, which should really get a proper name now, something Turkish......the Midnight Express? anyway, 16th is not the place I would stay in for the duration of the race, Slowly pick off the guys ahead of me, Including a lowly Barichello, Around the Outside of turn 1, I'm enjoying this!
Everyone starts to pit ahead of me, I end up blocking most of the front runners, Including Jenson Button, on his first lap out of the pits, I challenge him for the duration of that lap, and the next, which includes another outside overtake.....turn 8!! this is getting better all the time, until my Primes start to wear, then I become the train driver once again, Kubica trying to get past first of all, eventually looking for a space into turn 7 that isnt there, gives me a love tap, only to be spinning himself, I carry on, with Massa tailing me instead, which is also a close battle, especially on the back straight where the much more Powerful prancing-v8 gets by, but have to pit anyway, back to 16th position, nobody around to bother me......not even the remaining pitters, and by the end of the race...14th, my best finish yet.
