I see I wasn't the only one who was a little crafty there, which is a shame because I thought I could've won that, and now I've lost the lead in the Eric van de Poele trophy, but having maximum points over everyone else in the World Championship more than makes up for that.

Excuse me, but you seem to have missed my results for the last round. I clearly remember sending them a while back - on 12th January, to be precise. I drove an Opel Astra -which can be used in the DTM championship in GT4-, changed the oil, purchased the softest tyres (because the rules don't limit the compund of the racing tyres), adjusted the gears and suspension a little (because the customization options were already in the car when I bought it, as is the case with any racing cars), used 5th gear for all of the lap and posted a time which would indeed be the fastest time around.

Well, the challenge asked for a lap only using 5th gear. It didn't specify anything about the gear ratios being anything like what you would use in a normal competition.

This might be the case, unfortunately I do not seem to have any kind of mail. Do you think you could do it again? Because then I would count your lap as well, seeing as I have no reason to not believe you that you have not send this mail.

And lapwing, you are from Australia and have GT4, you can also chose Holden. :mrgreen:

And aside, look at poor Aerond, he has drawn a much worse fate.

Seeing as Finland has very little automotive industry, I'm going to have to use a Mercedes, Peugeot or Ford thanks to Häkkinen. Although it would have been awesome to use a Sisu truck! :lol:

In fact, I just read that the bodies of the Mk1 Renault Clio V6 were made in Finland by Valmet Automotive. It's a long shot, but it certainly fits the patriotic theme better than the other manufacturers mentioned.

E: Nevermind, I can't find one from the used car market now, and the one I have in my garage is souped-up to the max. In it's default config the Clio is also quite down on power when compared to others. I'll stick with the Ford GT instead.

One of these days, if any of us owns Formula GTs, we should get together and see how many rolling chicanes, bogus team orders, and snapped nosecones we can rack up.

That remark aside, once I get an FGT, I'll compete in the Formula GT Championship in the Single Player game and see how reject-y my very Japanese racing style makes me.

No, it just means that you've finished the game. (you get a black Formula GT if you complete GT4 at 100%)

As for my Formula GT (in GT5), it is blue and looks a bit like a Prost.

My formula GT is completely white, so the livery reminds me of the late 90's Stewarts and Tyrrells.

The only thing that really bothers me about Gillet is that it doesn't seem to have any brakes at all. Seriously, it brakes worse than the lousy Nissan Primera '90 also found in the game.

Exactly. If you brake at the right time, you win loads of time. You brake a tad earlier, you lose loads of time. You brake a tad too late, the car throws you into the wall.

I think it's a bit unfair that the PSP players can use racing tyres while everyone else has to use the low grip road tyres, even if they can't tune the cars. From experience, racing tyres are probably the best modification you can make to a car in GT. For proof, try the "Mission Race" in GT4 where you are in a Nissan MM-R cup car with racing tyres and you have to catch up and pass cars with much higher power which are using either economy or sports tyres. As well as that, the GTbyCitroen concept is available in GTPSP.

I have a Formula GT now, with yellow and dark blue colors.

I keep thinking there were teams that used those for their livery, and some relevant to F1 Rejects, but I can't remember them off the top of my head...

In any case, I'm finding it quite difficult to rein in the car.

Oooooh, that Forti livery on the FG01 is almost too similar. It's almost prophetic about how much of a handful it is to drive. No worries, though: all I need is practice and some time to figure out tuning.

The yellow was more the Rial logo. The livery itself had two shades of blue. Very nice, if you ask me.
