Name a scandal/controversy and name it with -gate suffix!

Postby FMecha » 22 Feb 2011, 00:22

So this came up my brain. I've thinking if you can name name a scandal in F1 and name it with -gate suffix. This was inspired largely after some scandals in F1 with -gate suffix, such as Indygate, Spygate, Liegate and Crashgate. ;)

Discuss!

To start: Suzukagate (first controversial DQ on Ayrton Senna on suscipion that FISA favoring Alain Prost in 1989, then Senna's pole position place dispute ending up on [semi-delibrate] crash against Prost in 1990)
Warped Touring Car Series :D | A Vettel fan. ;) | Jacques Villeneuve's WDC = fluke.
Coming soon in 21XX - Formula Mecha. | Keep out! :o (rem'd when Caterham scores)

In 2008 there were that mess with Hamilton getting an undeserved penalty. Probably forced the hand on stewards and it ended last year by Todt introducing the former driver steward. It should be called: Stewards-gate.

that actually makes sense. they are sort of in cahoots with the FIA.
another example
GT1- maserati always pulls top 3
maserati is sub-division of Ferrari.
i remember watching a GT1 race where the maserati should have clearly been black flagged for cutting a chicane (of all things), but didn't and grabbed a 1-2 finish. one other team did the same( i believe it was one of the lambos) at another track and got tagged.
