Horizon Motorsports decided to make the trip from the MRT headquarters in Munich to Suzuka with 2 cars for Zimmer and MRT's new test driver Sammy Jones. Richie White's accident effectively wrote off the car so his entry was replace by a second entry by Trueba for Giovanni Roda. Finally Dagnall Racing entered one car for Chris Dagnall to wring the neck out of at Suzuka.
If you don't want to participate in the race at Suzuka let me know and I'll open the spot(s) up to other people.

Will Chris also be at the race or is it just Mark?

watka wrote:Just to make my position clear, I'm only willing to partake in this as a driver. The fun for me in F1RWRS was building up a persona as a driver rather than managing my own team. I think that shows by the fact that I've driven for 5 teams! Recently I've only had the chance to get on the forums once or twice a week and half of the time I come back to this thread to see that another 3-5 pages have been added since I was last on, so I've got no chance of running a team. True, I am in the F1RPG, but the organiser did make it incredibly easy by e-mailing us the forms (so I don't even have to go on the forum to be up to date; I check my e-mails most days). I am more than willing to stick around as a driver here though and throw out the odd soundbite.

You're on the provisional list.
Before I forget I need to speak to both Dartanian and Wookey to figure out our development plan for this season. Also if it's alright with Aerond MRT is selling the rebadged Yamaha engines to Horizon for 300 credits instead of Horizon buying them direct from the manufacturer for 250 which means both teams will be left with 100 credits each before the start of the season

Now that was unexpected. Daniel Martins is very much looking forward to next year with this new found pace.

Virgin Inter Corse penetrates new markets with F1RWRS campaign
Virgin Inter Corse is proud their entry to the F1RWRS - despite not having a f***ing clue what the initials of the series title even stand for.
"I am very happy to announce Virgin Inter Corse will be expanding their portfolio with, er...whatever this is," said Team Principal Alasdair Lindsay. "We are seeing new upward growth in key areas, and we believe expanding into this new territory will immensely benefit our future."
With Lindsay spouting nothing but publicocrap, it was down to the team's driver pairing of Todd Cockburn and Phil McCracken to do the real talking when it comes to the season ahead.
"It will be an interesting season," said Cockburn. "This is a new challenge for me, I hope I can succeed from the very start."
However, all parties involved admitted car development had been an issue, as Lindsay explains; "Testing has been a mixed bag so far for us. We are testing a KERS system with the car yesterday, but there are some teething problems with it. The KERS system tries to start too early and it is causing the car to jump start at grid simulations. It does not matter what we do, it always tries to surge forward too quickly and no matter how many runs we do, we cannot fix this problem.
It has also given the secondary problem of too much load [on the tyres] at once. The tyres have no grip, so all that happens is the car hardly moves and always leaves behind a massive skidmark. So much of it has been laid down at the pit exit now it's like walking through treacle - it's incredibly sticky down there."
Cockburn elaborated further on some of the troubles the new car is having; "The car is very inconsistent in both speed and handling. It is hard to get into a good rhythm going, every lap the car reacts differently even if you handle it the same way and take the same lines and angles through the bends. It's very frustrating, no matter how hard I try it just can't get it to do what I want."
"It has been the same experience for me," commented fellow rookie McCracken. "OK, so it has been very hard so far, but I think with time we can rectify the worst problems before our debut. We must stay positive; the only way is up."

In other words, ArrowTech A.R.T. is confirmed for the next F1RWRS season. We are very looking forward to this season, hopefully our pace in the testing will stay.

It looks beautiful! (might have to adapt some colours for Gp2 palette). Maybe the Qantas logo on the sidepod should be pushed a little bit down.
